I guess he want's to put effort and be good/meaningful and can't blame him about that as we all want the same, but he needs to calm down a bit..
Hecky has done good job with other young players and I think he can do the same with Larouci..

RND, lowe, Ozzy all above him there tbh
Maybe even baldock/Bogle. Only injuries meaning he will be involved

He's better than Lowe already and he'll get better, Lowe won't.

Considering the circumstances, Larouci did absolutely fine today.

If you want to focus on specific errors to hang a player out to dry, that's on you.

Like every other doom-monger, where's your solution? Or, like every other doom-monger, you get your kicks from simply being negative, pessimistic and defeatist? Is your solution sign players that don't make mistakes?

Also populist doesn't mean what you think it means.
My solution going forward from today is Bogle on one side and Baldock on the other. We did this once last season I recall.

Both of them are better than any fit LWB option we have.

I'm more optimistic about Larouci than I was though. He does look like our best option there. Will be interesting to see him develop. Second half of the season might be his time

Losing 2-3kg would help him. Optimising himself physically should be his priority
He's our only option
I think Trusty will be next to have a go, Lowes body isn't up to the pace, and Ozzy is never far off an injury
I wonder if this will now become a position we try and bring someone in
Larouchi may develop, but we need someone now, not in 2 years

Yep definitely an option with both fit.

My concern would be that this would effectively be our de facto first choice wing-back pairing.

Lowe coming back rightly won't change anything and if Larouci is fit and not selected, that also sends a message.

Yes it does. The message is don’t make silly unforced errors.

The LWB spot has been a problem since RND went down in October last year, unfortunately.

If we have a spare loan to use, for example if we get McAtee but then there's no other suitable attacking option, then using it on a LWB would be a good idea. That might have to be in place of signing someone to cover CB though

Not sure what LWB we could get from a PL club though

Might have to look abroad - I see Maouassa is still at Brugge

The lad balde could come on a foreign loan and he can play anywhere

We’ve loaned a LWB try getting behind him

Farouci's 'error' was against 'the greatest right back in the world' according to most, who wanted to atone for an error he had made a minute earlier and also potentially fouled by Walker. They'd certainly have been given that had it been the other way round.

He won’t touch the ball with his right foot. He’s got to learn sharpish

He's made two bad judgements, after been thrown in against one of the world's best teams.
He needed to put the ball in the stand on one, and cross and the other.
But he was in the right place at the right time.

So, he needs some slack cutting. I don't know why some fans need to find somebody to attack.

As another poster mentioned if you defend for 80+ mins of the game then thats where mistakes are going to happen. He did make a huge fuck up but there is a lot of promise in his game. Especially going forward.
Going forward ? Wrong decision at the death , should have crossed not shot

We don’t have time mate. After next week we’re 11% of the way through the season. Just doesn’t look like he can cut it, was beaten so often and showed a real drop in quality from Osborn. A championship utility player!
We have plenty of time, plenty of spirit, attitude, determination, unity, talent, enthusiasm and a great fanbase willing to be the 12th man and a very capable backroom team of achievers who won't panic.Nor should we after 3 games in,particularly after today.👍🙏.

I thought he did ok after he came on. Young pup learning a system with a new club. Made a mistake and it cost us but there were plenty of mistakes made in that game, some from the best team in the world so he wasn't alone in that respect. Just so happens his mistake led to the winning goal. But then he wasn't the only one in a United shirt for their winner. After Haaland fails to contact with the cross, AA, Egan and Robinson decide to have a conflab in the penalty area and pat each other on the backs, instead of playing to the whistle and marking up again. Why for example was Foden allowed so much time and space in the box (who luckily for them miscontrolled it straight to Rodri) ? The three amigos do their job and the ball comes in and someone is on Foden and that cuts out that chance.

But going back to the topic, I thought be looked raw but has plenty of good attributes. I like him. He'll get better though I wouldn't mind us getting a more solid wing back on the left hand side to compete as his strengths are clearly going forward. A decent defensive option on the left wouldn't go amiss.

Got to disagree, RND yes but better than rest. We could give JLT a run there or Trusty but they don’t make the right sided runs like he does. Give him a chance I’m thinking he will come good. No point in crucifying him like some on here saying he’s worse than Dean Hammond FFS for making a mistake against probably one of the fastest and best attacking right backs in the world.

Whoever plays on the left always has so much work to do
They have to tuck in and then react quickly to a wide man in a crossing position ,on the right we always seem to have 2 men on the left it's just the lwb

Is this because robbo can't get across quick enough or because the midfielder is not covering quick enough

Maybe Bergen Blade can do some analysis on this because its a glaring weakspot and needs to be addressed

Mistakes happen, robbo has one nearly every game, but his lack of football IQ is what's worries me. Half the time he is stood in the completely wrong position like a kid who is just running after the ball
