When you mention the "child murdering scum," who is it you're referring to?
I presume it's the IRA and the Manchester bombings... but that is to conveniently ignore the many atrocities committed by the UK on Irish soil.
I'm not for one second condoning what they did, but you need to understand there's a complicated history and it's not as easy as "British Soldiers = Good, IRA = Bad."
This isn't some modern / woke world view. It's just a slightly more nuanced one than yours.

It is a complicated history on both sides of the argument, I for one totally understand about, potato famine, border farms being ethnically cleansed (before the partition took place) catholic and Protestant civilians being terrorised by those who where supposed to be fighting for them (criminals in other words controlling drugs etc), Bloody Sunday, killing of security services doing a job (not just the army but prison officers, police etc), blowing up of children on the mainland I can go on forever. The one thing tha does stick out though is these thugs who portrayed themselves as freedom fighters are now mainly petty criminals which they would have been all along if not for the conflict.
