If you go off the facts that he has stated “because he feels it disrespects victims of British military actions in Northern Ireland, specifically Bloody Sunday in his hometown of “Derry” (Londonderry). Which is an event that happened in 1972, he was born in 1986. The paras deployed to Northern Ireland in the early 70s were there to protect them against a potential hostile Protestant majority. My Grandad served in the Army with REME and he was there in the late 70s and also as OC 38 engineer regiment in the early 80s, their responsibilities was the destruction of bridges that the provisional IRA were building between ROI and NI, he always says when you blew up one they had already built the next.

the reasons many palestinians in Gaza voted for hamas are aplenty and varied - it is not just about fighting against their oppressor or having some sort of bloodlust. It was also way back in 2006 and as we know political allegiances change a lot in the space of 20 years. It is now shown that many palestinians are against Hamas. Regardless, children in Gaza didnt vote and they have been murdered in their thousands. For the record, I think the murder of the innocent, whether Gazan, Israeli, British, Irish or any race or nationality is abhorrrent.

Yes indeed children did not vote hence I said men and women. Totally agree innocent killing is abhorrent. I had read that support for hamas is not as strong but they would still win by a landslide today. What I find uncomfortable in all of the troubles in the Middle East is, the total Arab world want Jews wiping of the face of the earth and don’t hide this feeling at all. I disagree, if someone calls themselves freedom fighter whilst killing a disabled child with a gun it doesn’t mean they are a freedom fighter it means they are psychotic. Descartes ‘I think therefore I am’ has been torn asunder with the view that ‘one man’s terrorist…’ etc, the only thread between them is that they are both both humans and have an awareness of being human however one of them suffers from a false consciousness about their existing being/identity and the other a disabled child at a music festival. Interestingly that child’s consciousness was limited as he was taken to the concert by parents for a therapeutic tent with light and sound. I would argue that anyone who would claim to be fighting for freedom killing this child’s as a consciousness that is even further detached from what it is to be human than the child. The post modern malady of everyone is right depending on their own a myriad of moral compasses is everything that is wrong with the world we need to get back to being adults not infants.
