Central defence has been terrible so far, central midfield had been terrible so far, despite scoring 3 id be very annoyed if i was wilder at halftime

Hamer has been very quiet that half.

We haven't got control of the middle and they are by passing us too easy. Hamer needs to provide better cover for Mc Callum. Chong has been invisible in his support for Seriki. Brooks for Chong as a bare minimum at half time but we look porous every time they attack. Cooper cant cope with their aerial threat from corners and they look like scoring every time they get one. In fact going to a 3 in the middle with Brooks out wide left may enable us to get some control. All about the tactics and the coaching staff second half. We have players on the bench who can make a difference. We need to at least avoid conceding in the first 15 minutes. That will be a task in itself based on our form second half this season.

Too many of their attacks are ending up with an effort on goal,a dangerous cross or a corner,their high press has caused us problems,plus our own mistakes and nobody is looking like controlling the game for us.
The Chong miss may prove to be the turning point of the match here,which is crazy seeing as we have scored 3,but unless we get through their press and sort ourselves out in and around our own box,they are just going to keep on coming at us and forcing the mistakes like as already happened.We need a lot more possession and need to get into them and win more first and second balls,or this is going belly up with only ourselves to blame.

Chong should have scored at the end of the half. He had a lot of room to work an angle. Brooks would have scored there.

Poor touch meant he hade to take another one. I would be tempted to put Brooks on to help shore up that side.

Could work, would definitely cut the space their wing backs have. Might hamper our attacking play though as well.

Not sure what McCallum was doing there.

He has a great leap so I thought it was weird that he was beaten in the air….assumed he might have been fouled.

The slow motion replay shows he (as usual) DOES gets some good height
But at the moment he’s about to head the ball…he crouches down crunching his neck….deliberately trying not to head it. Why?
Can only think he felt the player behind him and tried to play for a foul….eventhough there was hardly any contact.
