Not sure what McCallum was doing there.

He has a great leap so I thought it was weird that he was beaten in the air….assumed he might have been fouled.

The slow motion replay shows he (as usual) DOES gets some good height
But at the moment he’s about to head the ball…he crouches down crunching his neck….deliberately trying not to head it. Why?
Looks like he just mis-judged it.

He was trying to either let it skim off his head backwards or head it backwards rather than just making sure he got something on it
 
Mccallum tried to do a back header but he missed it and all he did was duck under it

Can only think he felt the player behind him and tried to play for a foul….eventhough there was hardly any contact.
My thoughts exactly, was he trying to play for a free kick?
 



More calamitous defending. There’s no way McCallum should be getting beaten in the air from that position. Really strange game and feels like earlier in the season where we couldnt stop conceding due to defensive howlers.
