but we switched to 4-4-2 at half time and conceded 3 ? doesn't that make this formation a recipe for disaster ?

Again, another gripe.. If McFadzean is this good, why hasn't he been given a chance??

Usually he's lucky to get 10 minutes then all of a sudden he comes on after 10mins... Jesus wept, DW's tactical decisions baffle me at times.

No. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I didn't go today. I've not slagged any individual player off. I've just slagged the managers negative 4-5-1 formation.

Robson has many pros. Playing just off the striker in a free role isn't one of them. Push Murphy up top and Robson on right.

I'm not saying it is.

Not giving him the chance previously is.

Robson should've gone off a lot earlier than he did against MK last week, why didnt mcfad get a run out then? He's clearly quality but he's not been given a chance when he should've been. Numerous times at home we've wanted an injection of quality and he's left him sitting on the bench. Before today how many minutes play time has he been given?

We've been calling for wingers all season. Turns out we've got a great one sat on bench
 
4-5-1 has worked well away from home recently and tactically i think DW was right to stay with it today. What he didn't legislate for was Collins defending as awfully as he did when he first came to us,Robson unable to pass a ball in a straight line,KMac disappearing as it got a bit physical and Doyle failing to win a tackle.

Kitson and Flynn should have scored in the first half and we looked more structured than in the 2nd where we lost shape as they won everything in central midfield.

Maybe,just maybe,DW plays 4-5-1 in many games as he believes it is the strongest formation for the squad of players he has.

I thought Robson was poor last week too. He left him on too long last week and didnt take him off today. What's the reasoning there?

He's gotta bring Forte in and go 4-4-2 vs Brentford. Could turn into a bad day next week if we're not careful

Brentford game is a 12:45 kick off - we'll all be sulking so God knows what the players will be like - oh yeah, and it's on telly. I think I'll stay at home, or come down and stay in the pub, if I can one open that serves meals at about 10am

i havent posted in a while, i missed a few games cos i was ill. then i got the superstitious thing in my head, ever since i wasnt posting we kept winning! so i decided i couldnt post again until we lose, or i'd jinx it.

im stunned by the result, mainly cos stevenage are utter shite. i thought we'd get another of those boring 1-0 or 2-0s were so good at eeking out on our travels. but im not gonna whinge. ive had enough of this season already. worst team ive ever seen us have, and that takes some doing dunnit, in the worst league ive ever seen us play in. and that includes division four. every team is crap, nobody is good enough to win promotion. but somebody has to go up, thems the rules. i just want the season to end, with us one of the jammy buggers who ends in the top 2. feck knows what we do next season if we do go up, with the squad we'll have left we'll be like total network solutions in the champions league, but worry about that if it happens.

ive given up trying to predict what will happen. every time i think anybody is good, they lose to a muppet team. we could go out next week and tear brentford a new bumhole, move back into 2nd and everything is rosy. we could get beat again, then were thinking the season is over. or, more than likely, we could draw 0-0 yet again and this carwreck of a league ends up with 6 teams within 1 point going into the last game! im off now to try to find a new superstition to get us winning again. ;)

What the cameras also missed was them getting the ball in the first place, which was Doyle tossing the ball backwards into central midfield and then standing still and watching the resulting attack.
 
It's about much more than a kick up the arse. Our formation, our style, our workrate - it really is as dull as dishwater. Having witnessed quite a few promotions / promotion chases, I've never felt like this about one.

If we don't get promoted, heaven forbid we start next season with Wilson in charge. If this is the football we've been missing out on, please let's keep missing out on it.

Another weekend fucked by the result but eased by the Wendy result.

What line up do we want to start against Brentford.

Surely we've got to go for the jugular let's get at them early are any of them not going to up for this match?
Fuck 442 let's go 433 with Forte Kitson and Poleon up front obviously Mcfazdene came on and done well keep him and no room for tossers like Flynn cause its going to be a battle
For once this season I ask Wilson to show courage and not bottle it.
 
I've seen it coming, a division full of poor teams us included. For me our current side ranks up there as one the worst to wear the red and white stripes and I've seen us relegated to the third and fourth divisions. If we were to get promotion IMO only Long, Maguire and Collins
would cope, not seen enough of the youngsters. There's been to many games where we just haven't put the effort in. I've been to all the home games and a hand full of aways, just booked accommodation for the Portsmouth game, but I'm giving serious consideration to not going Saturday and watching it on sky if they can't be bothered then why the fuck should I.

Seems that way to me. Damned playoffs again and a pissy performance at Wembley.
