The whole works...
  • League position
  • Squad
  • Staff
  • Owners
  • Finances
  • Commercial activity
  • Community activity
  • Training Facilities
  • Other facilities
  • State of repair of ground
  • Academy

they may be in the league above but their squad isn't anything special, nor their facilities. Dave jones dismantled anything they actually had going for them, they seem like a team of loans and journeymen, like we were when we went down

1. Yes.
2. No (not actually seen any of them play but the Pigs I work with hate all of them!). You are less likely to see a goal in their games than anywhere in the country though!
3. No (they'll be gone end of season so ask me again in August)
4. No
5. ? (no-one knows what either clubs are actually like)
6. No
7. ? (don't take any notice of Community activities really)
8. No
9. No
10. No
11. No

You've forgot "fans". Obviously, from other threads, we've got 90% arseholes in our ground, but they've got 100% every game.

sorry i'm not supporting a team called 'Wednesday'.. it is embarrassing
and they play in blue and white

Both Sheffield clubs have been on decline for years . The difference is that we have at last found stability . SWFC even with the new incoming board have a very uncertain future , both at management and director level. Also we have a air of optimism , which is fundamentally lacking in S6.

Also we you want to finish up sitting next to Mark the Pitsmoor Owl.

Change -no chance

I thought I'd been careful to avoid this possible mis-reading! :(

Although very difficult, I didn't want sentiment to come into it at all - unfortunately, after United, they're the club we know most about and are in an enviable league position.

What about...

  • Massivest, most massive fans in the universe.
  • Friends in high places
  • An In-House Journal - 'The Wednesday Gazette' AKA The Stir
  • RS, their own pet radio station (expect them to clear the decks for a 2 hour special if the Ladyboyz ever get this phoney deal ratified).
So, on balance....

would I fuck!

I think you are asking for the moon :-)

You are going to get 99% saying they do not want to be like Wednesday. Funnily enough, if you did the poll on a SWFC site, I bet you would get 99% saying they did not want to be like United....

Does it prove that we're all loonies? :)

No. it proves that we are all incredibly biased :)
I still think waking up tomorrow morning 12th in the Championship isn't worth the backward-step (which you don't think exists).

I think you are viewing this through red and white glasses. I bet you can't find a Wednesday fan who would rather be in SUFC's position.

None of the above.

All I want from Sheffield fucking Wednesday is the chance to play thge twice a year and six points, and their eternal misery.

Cunts, all of them. Every time I watch TFLS on a Saturday and they come on, I cannot help myself saying 'fucking piggy cunts' over and over again until the next match comes on in the same manner that terrorists chant Allah Akhbar when they kill innocent people for shits and giggles.

Yeah but we all know they're deluded ;)

I can't speak for anyone else and I've no idea how to fairly poll opinion, but up until quite recently I'd have happily swapped everything with them.

I predict a record number of likes for that post

You could ask neutrals which club's position they would prefer for their club. Problem is neutrals probably know fuck all about either club.

Do you mean league position?

You should try it, Radio. It's extremely cathartic. It alleviates the sadness that they managed to overhaul us a couple of seasons ago and remain in the lauge above us and we remain in a league below, a point that smarts badly.

I'f, as soon as the match logos come on and Ken Wolstenholme (or whoever) starts the commentary with " ... it was a tough game at Hillsborough as Sheffield Wednesday took on playoff hopefuls Shitchester City ... " just start saying it in a low manner, 'fuckingpiggycuntsfuckingpiggycunts' then reach a crescendo when the opposition slide in a goal and wheel away in front of the North Bank 'kop' stuffed full of the retraded end of Sheffield's footballing fraternity.

... fuckingpiggycuntsfuckingpiggycunts ...

It's what Darwin prophesised and it fits in with the natural order of things.

Having only been actively supporting United since early 2000's due to my age, from where I see we've comfortably had the better of it even if they're above us now. Wednesday have generally been dull, lower mid table, no exciting players with little going on. In my short time I've seen us in 3 different leagues with some cup/play off action. Added to that the shit ground/area and arrogant fans, United all day.
