Then if it goes wrong imagine how strong our squad would be the following season
If we manage ( IF ) to stay up , we could then spend again the same amount of more the following season .

In counter-argument I’d highlight Fulham.
We need smart recruitment. The right players, with the right attitude and the right ability but also at the right price. Just see what we did with Dids.
What’s special about us is our team ethic and working environment. Thats why players underachieving elsewhere seem like league beaters for us. If we lose that, I believe our task of establishing ourselves in the Premier League is ten times more difficult.
Let’s not buy into the Premier League mentality that success and failure is all about spending the most.

Personally think we need two new players in each area with defensive cover for left and right positions

I imagine that 50 million would need to factor in wages and agents fees as well as transfer fees

Everyone else is looking for attacking midfielders and strikers, that's the problem.

For me yes - we need a goal scorer and none of them come cheap. He's one that should be considered.

A similar situation to the long running Ryan Leonard transfer of last summer cannot be allowed to get in the way of this summers purchases.

We need to get a squad for CW & AK to have ready for game 1 so that the team can grow into what will be a very very difficult autumn period.

It is one area that needs addressing. Cardiff bought Bobby Reed - that didn't work our well. Maupay is an up top, play on the shoulder of the last defender.

If some of you say no to Maupay at least suggest someone who fits into the budget of needed 5,5,6 players who will need buying/loaning/paying as well as possible increases in existing contracts that no doubt will come into force.

Loaning Hendo saves us a big chunk of money at the other end and you would think it benefits Man U to see if he is good enough for them or if he goes like Johnstone did to WBA.
