Bogle - 10m

Jebbison - multipack Mars bars

When you think about the players we've had in recent years like

Dean Henderson
George Baldock
Bogle
John Egan
Harry Souttar
Sander Berge
MGW
Ndaiye
Osula
and others of similar quality & guts ,

Even Ollie McBurnie ,

Then you look at our current squad ,

You have to laugh don't you ?

or you'd be crying a river

How the feck have we managed to fall so far ?

Takes some believing doesn't it ?

Take your point but Henderson, Souttar and MGW weren't our players. We've always been a stepping stone for better players to showcase their talent and then move on.

Of those, Henderson, Souttar and MGW were not our players. I think we tried to sign Henderson but wages were a block and we bought back Ramsdale and subsequently made a big profit on him. Souttar got a bad injury but I think we should maybe try to get him now Leicester are in league 1 as his value will be much lower. MGW was never going to sign for us.
Arguably we got the best years out of Baldock and he wanted to go, we got the best out of Egan although I'd still have him over McGuinness any day of the week.
Berge and Ndiaye were the results of the classic SUFC tactic of not offering new contracts early enough and both fucked off for reduced amounts as they only had a year left.
Bogle made it obvious he wasn't going to sign a new contract and actually he wasn't even first choice when George was fit.
Osula was a shadow of the player he is now but obviously had raw talent. See also Calvert-Lewin. I do hope Ryan One gets in the team next season and we try to develop him properly like Newcastle obviously have with Osula, otherwise he'll be sold off too.

Think Liverpool... oh wait a minute maybe Liverpool ladies

Free transfer for Jebbo, unless you ask his mum, she’d say he’s worth £500m

Lack of parachute money is the reason.
Don’t think people realise how being in the PL totally transforms a clubs finances. You end up being 1st in line for all the best loan players.

I see it as we’ve been so lucky to have so many excellent players at our club.

Several of those players were never going to stay even when we offered to make them our highest paid player.
Didn’t Man Utd offer Henderson a new contract of £120K a week for just being their reserve keeper.
MGW went for a massive transfer fee and massive salary, no way would we risk the future if the club paying that.
Berge used us as a stepping stone and was never going to stay.
N’Diaye was too good for us, he initially accepted our bid to make him best paid player at the club but at the last minute his boyhood club came in matching our wages and he was desperate to leave. We had no choice but to sell and got an excellent price.

Souttar was never going to join….his wage was far too high and under contract at Leicester.

Think people have short memories….always makes me laugh how when players (like McBurnie) was playing for us…he was crap…a donkey
Then when he leaves he becomes a great player. McBurnie has always lacked quality but I like his mentality, he hates losing and gives his best.

Last season think our quality was high but our mentality was terrible….and we could do with McBurnie types around the club.
Osula was no where near good enough when we sold him…more of an athlete with potential.
At the time £10 million was an incredible piece of business by us. If he’d have stayed Osula might now be worth £1 million.

We are more skint now than with Osula , so I fear the worst with Ryan Oné.

I didn't need an explanation of why those players moved on - that's obvious.
If we have players like that for some period in which they can contribute , that's all we can expect.
What I am lamenting is the flow of quality drying up and being replaced by some of the worst recruitment representing the worst VFM I can remember.
The players we've taken on permanent or loan recently have NOT BEEN CHEAP.
But they have been poor quality and what's worse is , physically & mentally weak.
Now the money's dried up , we're stuck in a deep old rut with little prospect of keeping the likes of Oné & Peck , which is pretty tragic.
Such incompetence with our last drop of PL/parachute £.

If Souttar is in the Aussie World Cup Squad and plays well, I hope Wilder can buy him. I am sure Leicester will sell Him.
