Wolves and Wigan Fans Views On Lee Evans

Sounds like Evans will be fighting with Duffy for tge attacking midfield role he's been excelling in at Wigan

I thought he was more of a defensive mid. Be great if he was developing into more of a No. 8 though.

The only negatives I hear about Lee Evans are the ones relating to his "supposed" attitude at Wolves.....It is pretty obvious that these again "supposed" problems are confined to his time at Wolves, after all the Wigan fans haven't questioned his attitude in the slightly.

For me this is nothing short of bitterness towards the player for wishing to leave the club. Watford obviously wanted to sign the lad and Wolves blocked the move for whatever reason..Granted the player probably spat the dummy out at this point and this is why the Wolves fans have a bit of a chip on their shoulder towards him.

I don't think you will get many balanced opinions out of Wolves these days as it has all gone to their heads. Whilst there are some highly complimentary comments about the lad, it seems that the majority now believe themselves to big for a player like Evans...Which ultimately will hopefully come to bite them on the arse.

The main credit I can give to our gaffer is that he identifies areas in which we are lagging and he addresses them!...Wilder saw (just like we did) that we could do with a bit more action around the 18 yard box, we don't have enough shots from distance and we don't have that midfield goalscoring threat....So What does he do? Go out and buy two players who are proven to have these qualities in abundance.

Balls what Wolves say.... The lad wouldn't be allowed to play up here and quite frankly I don't think he would want to....Who wouldn't want to play under a manager who tells them before every game "Go out there, enjoy it, score goals and win it"....

Realism from Wigan, pig-like arrogance from Wolverhampton, who think they’ve romped it already.

Thanks Weirdo, very interesting

I can't see them doing anything other than romping it now mate. I'd love it to fail but they're unlikely to fluff it up. The thought of them spending £34 million as rumoured in the second tier is utter madness.

sounds good thanks Roy i was much interested in wigan fans because i believe he was a regular in their side season. just a shame hes cup tied

although i think James Wilson might test you. although id avoid twitter its full of glory hunters, Asian & African fans. trying to find comment from man utd fan livingin Manchester is like a needle in a haystack :D

Mendes has a vested interest in his clients only, not the clubs.

The only club he has an interest in is Wolves.... The 34m bid for Silva is also quite a statement.

Think you're missing the point. Of course an agent, any agent, must attend to the career of a client, but after a while there's only so many players any club has need of, so the complex nature of exactly how much and to whom will act as an influence in the final destination for player, agent, and club. No doubt Wolves are sitting pretty at the moment, but what seems abundantly clear right now will alter once the demands of the Premiership are addressed. I'm not actually disagreeing about Wolves' financial muscle or their owners clout, just that what seems straightforward now may become a more complex issue as next season draws on.

Thanks Roy.

Strange because it's always good to read other points of view but I don't take much notice of them now. If CW signs them there is a player in there and it is good enough for me.

Sounds like one for us to work on. It's a solid signing but I don't think he'll start many games for us. 700k is a good price though all things considered and he should only get better.

Interesting reading the Wigan fans comparing him with Morsy and Power. They're all players I like but out of those 3 I would've probably preferred Power, due to his all round ability.

Wigan will still piss promotion without Evans.

Come on guys - we must respect the opinions of fans of superior clubs like Wolves and Wednesday; let's remember they had proven experience of watching Leon Clarke play for them and we're grateful to them for recognising how shite he was (and grateful also to their club managers being of similar sound analytical minds) and getting shut of the waster.

Wolves are one of the few sets of fans who can match the truffle sniffers when it comes to arrogance. Already they think they are far too good for this league and look down on everyone else within it.
Aside from seeing a porcine relegation, seeing Wolves implode this season would be the funniest thing ever.

thanks Roy, I was hoping you'd do this as I don't know the guy at all.

I'll be reading about leonard and Wilson but I've got an idea what they bring

Thanks again

"Has been one of our best players this season, set up so many goals with set pieces."

Some of the Wolves fans are under the impression they have become Man City. Delve a bit deeper and Portsmouth is a more realistic comparison, short term but unsustainable joy, long term hell on earth.

Their comments to me have similarities to those of the Coventry fans about Fleck.
I'm not inclined to trawl through the forum but would they also be similar to fans views of the former clubs of Coutts, Duffy & O'Connell ?
Inconsistent players with obvious talent who just need a capable management team to bring out the best in them.
Now, where on earth would we find such a duo ?

Edit: I'll concede it doesn't always pan out as per Carruthers

Not sure what all the fuss is over the comments from the wolves' fans. They've merely stated that he's nowhere near their first team and wish him luck. He's the right age to get better with us.
