Best of luck..... they like to take a look with those machines because they can.....doesn’t mean there is anything bad but they are far better for diagnosis than poking and prodding and guessing. I went in one for my lungs and I shit myself but it was ok, I even got told how healthy they looked

I had to go for a CAT scan on my chest a couple of years back, turned out it was nowt but always better to be safe than sorry. Obviously if there anything there the sooner it's detected the better so it's good you're getting checked now. They should be able to give you basic info immediately afterwards, I think.

Good luck, lad. I had a CT scan couple of weeks back - when I was told “no haematological malignancy” it was a massive weight off. Hoping like hell you get an all clear too.

Well just got back from the Hospital firstly let me say that myself and
My wife are overwhelmed with all your comments. I just know we are all a special family of Blades. Like no other.
Had a CT scan and eventually sat down with the consultant. He said there is a tumour in the colon right next to the appendix. He said we will now need to book you in for a colonoscopy (sounds unfriendly) He said he is pretty sure everything else is ok but they will double check and remove any polyps, I asked can you then remove the tumor he said
No I will need a second operation when the tumor will be removed. I said I’m
Not doing very well am I, he looked up at
Me and said “You are very lucky” I said why he told me the Appendix has done you one hell of a favour as it pressed against the appendix the appendix produced pain and that is why you are here you would never have known else. He looked me in the eye and said I don’t give false hopes to people but this I tell you as it is, this tumor is only a few months old I can remove it and cure you, yes cure you. I can’t tell you the emotions and trust me you don’t want to know. I trust this man of 25 years doing this operation and with my wife I will do my best. Holiday has to be cancelled but there will be others. With you Blades willing me on will certainly help tremendously. Thanks fellow Blades and I will hope to let you know everything goes well but I am going to miss All the April matches.

2 of our good friends had this op, one 7 years ago, the other 2 years ago, and both are all clear and back to living life to the full. And you can come on here whenever you want, and know exactly how United are doing - half saying brilliantly, the other half saying rubbish. You'll be none the wiser, but at least you'll know that some things never change. Good luck.

Colonoscocpy...is either where they stick a cam up your jacksie (a bit like one of them russian one's Del and Rodders were trying to sell....), or was a January signing tufty missed out on...
