Will we send Wednesday down?

I never take it for granted that we will win derby matches , not even this one .

As others have said , they may already be relegated by then which I suppose gives them a nothing to lose mentality .

Ill still be happy with a 1-0 win

They’ve had nothing to lose pretty much all season and still been wank! I reckon you’re over thinking what difference being mathematically relegated will make.

Celebrating causing misfortune is childish, but football is childish - it’s a game.

Relegating them by beating them would be very, very funny, possibly equalling May 1990.

Doing so in February would be absurd, never to be repeated - the ultimate kick in the bollocks. It’d be great to see, as would be the nationwide pity party for ‘this once great club’.

I can remember playing Portsmouth towards the end of a season in the 80s and being on the west terrace. They were already going down and in financial trouble and we joined them in singing ‘sack the board’, which got a round of applause.

However, for what seemed like ages on that sunny afternoon we serenaded them with Vera Lynn:
“We'll meet again
Don't know where
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day”

Feb 22nd seems a great time to sing it again. All day.

After they return to division 1, how about
Maxine Nightingales-
"Right back where we started from"

It would be a great time to play wendy and send the down to the dog and duck league. Their manager will have a clue about the importance of this match, Sir Chris Wilder does. He will want to send them down with a pasting.

I’ve said it on the thread in the other football section of the forum, if we were to send them down, wouldn’t it be great to make a coffin, paint it blue and white, stick a pigs head on it, everyone congregate after the full time whistle in the car park until Chris Wilder appears from the players entrance and hits the final nail into the coffin. Then the funeral procession starts towards the graveyard of St Mary’s where we all sing never felt more like swinging a pig and no pig fans in town amongst other classics we have against them. Then we all go up London road and get pissed..

That’s the dream anyway. Oh and fuck em, couldn’t give one iota about points deductions, kids teams or financial woes. I don’t buy into this you wouldn’t have a derby without them bollocks either, I want them to slowly die a painful death, disappear slowly into obscurity.

I want a phoenix club to be formed and struggle aswel.

Sounds like you know what you’re doing. Gerrit done.
