I didn't want to sell him.
Especially not for £10m (knowing we'd only get part of that this window, and even less to buy new players)
But £15m? Up top?
Sell, sell, sell. Even if Wilder is only allowed £10m of it for his rebuild.
Me to mate was angry when we were told 10 with add ons but 15 with add ons makes a big difference . As for letting wilder having 10 mill i do not agree with how many we need he wants the lot .

GBOB ✔️
All players have their price ✔️
Can't stop em leaving ✔️
All clubs selling clubs ✔️
Not princehs fault he's skint ✔️

To be fair, they are best mates and you wouldn’t see one without the other around sheffield
Him and that Belohoun kid we used to have were same when Jebbison left for Bournemouth. Slagging club off.

We offered Jebbison a deal. We had him a full year, paying his wages during his "illness". Nah, he can do one.

I like Osula. Not fond of Jebbison

Mixed feelings on this one. Sad to see another highly promising talent leave the club before we’ve seen the best of them.

However, if it is £15m + add ons for a player who is purely potential at the moment is decent money.

At lot comes down to how we reinvest. If we look to use it to buy younger players on long contracts then I’m all for it. However if it’s to make room to pick up the likes of Richie and Dummett on free transfers and to fund a couple of loans then it’s shortsighted and poor reinvestment.

Omari Kellyman just moved from Villa to Chelsea for £19m after 2 PL appearances. Now I know there's an element of financial chicanery going on there but it should be used as a yardstick.

It's a tricky one but I'd say £15m up front, £10m in relatively easy to achieve variables and a 25% sell on clause.
I wasn't far off. It would have been nice to see how Osula developed this season as he has all the attributes to be a solid PL striker but in our position we can't turn down £15m.

Very true. Let's just hope that the money accelerates a few more acquisitions. We now need at least one more striker addind to the wanted list.

Osula knuckled down last season and did the job asked of him. He's got a move to one of the bigger clubs in the country as a result.

Jebbison messed us around and seems to be more out for himself. He's got a move to a team currently in the Premier League but one which sooner or later will slip back to its natural position in the lower divisions. Seems apt.

Short-termism: Selling Osula, then using the money to sign Dummet types and loan players. If we get to the Premier League that way then a) great, b) what's Princes next move? More loans? The cycle of loans needs to be curbed and we need to invest the Osula money properly.

Long-termism: Fine, sell Osula if we have to but bring in replacements that have a re sale value. Curb the loans. Added to first team player(s) look for the next Onè, Peck (youngsters that cost a small fee).

Fear is that bringing Osula money in gives us the money to sign the loan players to get to the Premier League and also gives the Prince the money to run the club day to day which sounds good?
...But this then galvanises the Prince into thinking that maybe he can create his own financial great escape and give the Premier League one last shot which could end up being the most boring / embarrassing season again part deux

Sky reporting £15m plus £5m of add ons, that's great business for us

Don’t you think agents and clubs talk to each other
Clubs asking for more when they know the buying club has received a hefty fee for another player clearly happens.

However, it's fanciful that a club publicly saying it's 10 mill when it's 15 mill has any impact on this, and as you say, stuff like this is generally known inside the game anyway.

Having spent a few times in the company of a so-called super agent years ago through a mate, they know pretty much everything about what's going on at clubs in terms of fees and wages anyway.

Opening bid £10m+£5m; deal closed at £15m+£5m.
Selling Bogle, Jebbo and Osula - 2 of which are PL goal scorers has just reduced the value of the club to investors. Had they been coached well we could be looking at £30m each in todays market. If HRH was expecting £90m for the club, its substantially less now.

Selling club - “an agent just told us you sold Osula for £15m to Newcastle”
United - “that agents full of shit, we got nowhere near that”

Can’t exactly claim we got less if we announce it on our website can we?

Weird how the only time blades fans are optimistic is when it's around the future of a player they've just sold

Jebbo has only ever scored 1 goal in the PL. Whilst Osula has never scored any goals for us.

Neither would be 1st choice for us but would be great options to bring off the bench.
Taking into account they are both young and likely to improve they are both worth about £5 million each.
Talk of 10 or 15 million for Osula is incredible really, they are just buying potential and hoping for the best.

Whilst we still have Anel, Trusty, Robinson, RND on the books, I'd much rather keep the 6ft athletic 20 year old striker with 10+ PL starts for experience and add more attacking talent around him...

The fact we've had 3 out of the last 5 years in the PL, have a year of parachute payments coming, yet for the second season in a row we're selling our best young attacker on the verge of the season is suicidal.
Our best young attacker, right now, just isn’t very good though. We can and should do much better with the money.

Agree....it is uncanny how we have all these crap players then when any are sold....they suddenly become our best player.

I'm expecting the same, if and when we sell Vini Souza or Anel.
If we sell either for £15 million, our fans will be saying we've lost our best player, they are worth at least £30 million each.

Jebbo, Osula and Brewster are all quite similar......they've all looked neat and tidy...with some talent
but at the end of the day......they all seem to struggle to score.

Amazingly our 3 most talented strikers have given us a grand total of 6 (SIX) league goals.
Brewster has 4 league goals, Jebbo has 2 league goals and incredibly, Osula has 0 goals,
Keith Edwards could score more than that in 1 month.

As much as I hate the fact we're selling him. Wish young William nothing, but the best for the future. A consumate professional with a big future ahead of him. Hope he considers us an option should a loan away from Newcastle look likely at any point
I would hope too that he is loaned back for a season. Suits them, him and us to be scoring in the Championship.

Osula is 20. Last season he was clearly playing at least one division higher than he ought to have been, probably two. It's not reasonable to expect him to have been banging them in and it's no reflection on his potential that he didn't do so.

The key word here is potential. Not how good is he now, but how good could he be. Anyone telling you that Osula is the finished article now is wrong. Anyone telling you that his achievements so far tell us much about his future career is also likely wrong.
