Rumoured about Newcastle interest. If Osula is sold then it would be a shocking decision. As i’ve said before believed to be the best finisher at the club despite what has been said on here abouy him looking rubbish.
What you talking ‘abouy’?

I think Osula has the potential /promise to be a top class striker. Has all the ingredients strength, pace, physicality, good shot. Just short on composure at the moment in the big games. Proven scorer at u-21's, including Danish team, but I'm confident the lad has what it takes. Didn't score last season in the Premier, but hit three goals in the FA Cup, including one against Premier team Brighton. So has actually scored at the highest level. Would be a shame to cash in now, as I think the BBD role on the left of the 3, cutting in on his right foot seems tailor made for him. Think Wilder probably sees this as well. Fingers crossed 🤞.

But knowing United 🤔🙄!

There's a thread about it in the rumours section. Start on Page #4

Mental. I’d actually take him over brewshite this season.. just remind me which one cost us the most?
Osula and Brewster are about level pegging of meh-ness to me

if the offer is around £5m then keep him, if its £10m then let him go - 29 games in 4 years with no goals for a striker and were debating whether to accept a £10m bid 😁

Absolutely crazy view imo.

One cost 23m, the others come through the youth academy. One looks a real prospect, the other looks like he’ll be roofing in the next couple of years.

Im not debating the merits of each tbh DTB as your right - the fact we got dry bummed for £23m against a kid who weve developed is a 'pat on the back/sacking' to the relevant back room people - ability wise alone, they are about even imo

My initial comment was regarding the OP's post about Osula been the best finisher at the club, and out of interest I looked up his goal stats for us

If a striker with 29 appearances and no goals is the best at our club, were as fucked as the doom mongers really make out

I’d disagree ability wise personally. Osula makes runs, drags defenders out and generally looks a nuisance, he’s got a decent strike on the ball (as seen preseason and in the youth team). Brewster doesn’t know where/what to do at the best of times.

I still think that now Newcastle have shown an interest it will be a “Will wanted to leave and we’ve got a good fee for him” type situation.

We’ve seen it before and will see it again.

As for whether it’s the right thing to do, I’m really not sure. If someone’s offering me £10m+ for a kid who hasn’t proven himself at first team level yet then I think I’d be tempted. We’ll end up in a situation where he starts running down his contract if we make him stay.

I know he recently signed a new deal so I assume he’s got 2 years left and if he stays and runs it down then next year he could be worth £5m (could also score 20 goals and be worth £25m) so it’s a risk. From where we are now I don’t see him providing £5m worth of benefit to us next season and would therefore cash in.

With Moore not having scored yet, Oli in the Canaries where are the goals coming from? Just need Deano and Billy to be cryonised back to their 20's and we'll be quids in.

His new deal keeps him at the club til 2027.

Anyone with half a brain can see how good Osula is he has got everything you could possiblly want in a striker Pace/Power/Skill/Technique

I reckon toon see him as similar to Iak which he could very well be in a few years

If they offered 15 mill im sure the club couldnt turn that down but when you look at what teams like Manure/Chelsea pay for players like Hojlund £10 mill on osula for team like newcastle is a gamble worth taking

So to clarify, if it's £15m then you think it's an offer we can't turn down?

Question to those saying this is madness, typical blades etc etc

Assuming every player has a price, so what’s a fair price for Osula? Not asking for “we should say £40m or fuck off” as responses

What’s the level where those who want to keep Osula, say actually that’s about right.

Osula is unproven even at this level. We wouldn't get that much for him. Initially payment of around £5m going up to possibly around £10m based on performances and targets achieved.

All of my opinion of course.

Just been watching the Newcastle Amazon series and they moan on their about not being able to spend their money.

I think it’s totally wrong that in an age of football where clubs like ours can’t compete financially that our youth can be cherry picked by teams like Newcastle.

I don't think anyone would be saying we should buy him for £10m if he wasn't already here. Anything around that would be hard to turn down.

Would be a shame to not see him develop here this season but if there's genuine interest I think you have to take the money. Makes the Jebbison situation look worse if we could've got £10m+ for him also.

I’d hold out for more then, his contract isn’t even a threat at the end of next season and we don’t need to get desperate until after that, if they want him they need to pay.

Unless we really need £10m now, in that case ‘a bird in the hand’ and all that.

Considering the amount of investment we've put into him, via all the coaching of him, his wages, etc., his potential, and how he's expected to progress, the "loss" he would be realistically to us by not being here, and that he's on a long-term contract, I'd want us to be looking somewhere in the 12-15 million range

Omari Kellyman just moved from Villa to Chelsea for £19m after 2 PL appearances. Now I know there's an element of financial chicanery going on there but it should be used as a yardstick.

It's a tricky one but I'd say £15m up front, £10m in relatively easy to achieve variables and a 25% sell on clause.

Could not disagree more. Jebbison going was OK but Osula looks the real deal to me and hopefully he stays.
