Brooks was a decent player to be fair.2024's David Brooks sale. If it allows us to get the final pieces of the promotion jigsaw then the loss of a talented young player will be offset by the players the fee will let us bring in
I think we got a really, really good deal for Jebbison.Good money for someone who hasn't produced.
Jebbison should have been tied down to a longer contract when ill so we could demand more money.
Lankshear was different.
All in all, we've got some dough to play with. Wouldn't want Osula back, think he's more a Slew than DCL (except Slew actually scored a few for us)
Not one of them are “generational talents”Chuck Lankshear into the mix and it's only £17.5m, and I disagree it's good business.
They are 3 generational talents by our standards, and only getting that for them 3 is really quite poor.
Only Osula has been a good fee.
Hard to understand how we are so desperate for a measly £15 mill, when we are getting parachute payments from the prem. When needs must I’m afraid.
Have you just quantam leaped into the body of a Sheffield United fan.?Hard to understand how we are so desperate for a measly £15 mill, when we are getting parachute payments from the prem.
They’re literally babiesNot one of them are “generational talents”. Two league goals for us between the 3 of them over the last 5 years. Lankshear wasn’t even one of “ours” either, we picked him up after being released by Arsenal. He was never going to stay up here once a London club came back for him.
I know we are skint and needed to get promoted to save us financially, but we didn’t spend a lot last year and have come down and still not spent and we are selling so where is the money?Have you just quantam leaped into the body of a Sheffield United fan.?
We cleared the decks last season and now we need the parachutes plus a substantial sale to cover costs ( wages etc)I know we are skint and needed to get promoted to save us financially, but we didn’t spend a lot last year and have come down and still not spent and we are selling so where is the money?
Not sure we’re desperate. Seems like Newcastle are.Hard to understand how we are so desperate for a measly £15 mill, when we are getting parachute payments from the prem.
We still spent a fair bit last year.I know we are skint and needed to get promoted to save us financially, but we didn’t spend a lot last year and have come down and still not spent and we are selling so where is the money?

What about the tv money we got last season in the prem?We still spent a fair bit last year.
Think all our permanent signings added up to around £60+ million, we only sold around £30 million in Ndiaye and Berge, leaving us with a deficit in the region of around £30 million.
Since coming down we've sold somewhere between £15 and £20 million worth of players, along with Archer going back to Villa which reduces that deficit.
But we've also spent around £5 million (not including the add-ons on Burrows) on Moore and Burrows, which will only add to the deficit, if we buy Cooper then that as well will add to the deficit.
“Literally babies”?They’re literally babies
That's always a problem when you get relegated, when you go up into the premier league everything (wages, costs etc) increases, and when you come down again those things decrease but you lose quite a bit of your TV money. What about the tv money we got last season in the prem?
You clearly don’t watch the youth teams regularly enough.“Literally babies”?
Crying most of the time? Wetting themselves regularly? Liable to tantrums? Obsessive about an occasional glimpse of titties?
Think you’re confusing them with somebody else.
All three are genuine talents, but all still have a great deal to prove before they can be considered as ‘ generational talents’. It’s a deluded description. Same with Ndaiye.
I hope that they all go on to have great careers, and I suspect that one or more probably will.
This has all been covered on here many many timesWhat about the tv money we got last season in the prem?
You have no idea as to how much youth football I watch, and so your first assumption is based on nothing. You clearly don’t watch the youth teams regularly enough.
Ask someone like Yogi who knows his onions whether he thinks they’re generational talents by our standards or not
How many more players do we need to shift then? This has all been covered on here many many times
It's gone mate
Scores on his debut (but offside!)
Falling Over (with honours) Jebbison will already have his cap and gown issued by Bournemouth. So doesn't score.
That video just confirms everything I think about Osula, very quick but not a lot else bit like a modern Adrian Littlejohn.
Newcastle have got him trained quickly, he has got very good at falling over and grabbing his leg as though he has been shot. Seem to remember, they were great at that last season.
Looks like he had a decent debut. The toon fans seem excited about him already.
None of them are in the same league, or even leagues below Ndiaye. They may become so, but as of today they’re miles off.“Literally babies”?
