Funny how people see things differently. I saw a well taken finish but apart from that, alot of sloppy first touches/mis-controls for the remainder of the highlight package.
That’s very definitely all it was, you’re right.

Any excitement that have is based on the price tag.

Couple of things on this deal. Firstly and most importantly, if the takeover happens as now expected then it's very disappointing that we sold arguably the best young prospect, certainly one of the best young forwards we had, for relative peanuts and this could well be the next DCL situation again. Maybe Wilder didn't rate Osula that as highly to keep him at all costs so to speak but he was playing really well in pre season so presumably Wilder was planning to use him.

It's rare to have a young forward who can make the step up to the PL and I think we'll end up having up spend more to get someone else in when we already had the best young forward we could realistically have already in the building.

If totally get it if we needed to sell to raise funds for other deals but I'm not sure why the prince couldn't cover the deals for Cooper and JRS and then the new board reimburse him after they take over? Likely that the deal for Cooper is not in one installment either.

Secondly, am I right in saying that Osula hasn't said goodbye on twitter or similar social media to the club/fans? Not seen owt which seems odd given he did a farewell statement for his Derby loan a couple of years back.

Yeah we should have waited till the window shut and played the kids till January

That kind of player skill (cheating) seems to follow that pair Management team about does it not.

Falling Over (with honours) Jebbison will already have his cap and gown issued by Bournemouth.

Wasn't it at the Lane in 2019/20 when a Bornemouth player was 'very seriously injured' in front of the dugouts? When CW mimicked a dive, he recovered faster than Lazarus, to jump up and confront him.

Eddie Howe's Synchronised Team Cheating, is the main reason that I don't want him anywhere near the Ingerland job.

I use DCL as a yardstick and if Everton can make him into a striker then potentially Newcastle can expect one hell of player if they develop him to a similar standard.

Osula always looked a threat, unlike DCL back then.

This was the perfect transfer in some ways. We needed cash, he had potential but when you look at our current academy crop he didn't get the chance to show the same level of potential in my opinion. 2 goals against Gillingham didn't have me demanding we keep him.

Newcastle get someone with potential to develop for their equivalent of pocket change, we got decent money that allowed us to assemble some of the core people of this current squad.

What's not to like. If he goes on to amazing things, we can play the "our academy product" card.

His finishing is what needs to improve at men's level as we pretty much all know.

That will be the deciding factor on how far his career progresses.

One of those rare transfers where no one really loses out.

We got a good fee, that we were able to put towards strengthening the squad.

Osula gets a step up the ladder, pay rise and chance to work / train at a higher level.

Newcastle get a player with high potential who could be worth a lot more in the future.

I was really looking forward to seeing him in the championship for us this season and believe he would have got a lot of minutes. But money talks.

If getting the fee for Osula helped us get Cooper over the line, then it was an easy easy decision.

He has the physical attributes, just not sure he has that bit extra needed to be a successful top level striker.

It won't be £15m, it will just be £10m, which is still decent.

When the ball hits the goal
It’s not Shearer or Cole
It’s Osula 😀
