I’m bemused by your second paragraph. Of course he’s reactive, Have you managed to miss all the shit going on in the boardroom? That we’ve lost parachute payments? Have you seen the money established creative players are going for?He makes it all seem like it was a surprise. He likely knew Hamer was off before the transfer window opened since he wasn't going to put pen to paper. Brooks was a good offer and that was also interest we had known about for a while.
It pisses me off when managers like Wilder just seem reactive, as if they are not aware of what's going on. Loading the squad with so many defensive players that are not here to play for free, when as you say even a smidge of those wages could have gone on someone else on loan.
He will redeem himself a touch if I see Sidibe in the match day squad, now is the time to take a risk and show a talent that's in high demand from abroad. Although I know he would sooner play Shackleton.
He’s done the only logical thing he could in the circumstances, go for experience, batten down the hatches, he knows how difficult this season is going to be. We’re in survival mode.
“Managers like Wilder”. What the hell does that mean? Meaningless and disrespectful.
Please list the exciting creative players that you think we should have brought in available on free transfers.
