Don’t worry, Wilder will be very happy with his budget at Sunderland.![]()
I am sure that there are some statos on here that can provide us with a list of club's expenditures from last season. Should be able to work out budget out from thatMiddle ranking is seriously rich, relatively. Great news if correct.
Excellent news...whether the budget quote is correct or not will become apparent when we sign a couple of players

James Shields article headline states that Wilder has "formally" accepted the offer and the downgrades it to "provisionally" a few lines later.
I'd hazard a guess it'll be in the 10-12 million bracket so not far off double last years budget.
Should be enough to get the 3 or 4 quality additions we need and with the experience gained by all last year and full pre season for the January additions we should see an improvement on last years performance overall.
Errrrr..... like this one?Formally agreed terms and should be release to media today according to the Stir....
Can we have new threads not manager related now?
‘Wilder, who provisionally accepted United’s offer of an improved contract on Friday’
For me and being greedy, the shopping list
CB
2x Strikers
LWB
Attacking midfielder
GK
That should give us enough imo
"And here we are at The Little Big Horn where the Star 7th Cavalry are, led again by George Custer."
When did Wilder formally accept?
Only about £25m then

So, without knowing who exactly is providing the funding for these improved contracts or how much a "mid table clubs" budget actually amounts too, all is fine in Bladesland.
But only a couple of weeks ago there was plenty of angst about which one of our shyster owners was taking over in full and running the club on a shoestring.....
A few wage bills for season 16/17, taken from Owlstalk.
Hull 61.5
Derby 40.4
QPR 30.7
Swfc 29.3
Cardiff 29
Forest 28.6
Reading 27.9
Brizzle 21.7.
Scary numbers eh ?
You don't know then.
CB £3m
2x Strikers 1 loan and 1 for about £6m
LWB - £2m
Attacking midfielder - £4m
GK - LOAN
about £15m- or for nothing when we sell our David

Glad we’re not paying them anything!
