I don't have a problem with you having a different view about Wilder, I just can't believe you are trying to resuurect Blackwell, as some kind of managerial highpoint.

Can you not recall the surrender to QPR, after which he was sacked?
The abysmal play off final agaoinst Burnley, which against very stiff competition, is probably our worst ever play off game.
The drab home draws and sneaked away wins, where we hoofed it all day long and Jamie Ward snatched an undeserved winner.

We aren't playing great football, but we are trying to keep the ball on the ground and pass it, which Blackwell abhored.

Come back with a better line, than 'it was better under Blackwell', and I'll happily have a joust.

I'll happily acknowledge things aren't fantastic, but anybody who suggests that the period under Blackwell, was somehow better, wants their bumps feeling.

Give it a few days, and somebody will try to reinvent the Robson years, as a glory period, compared to this season.

Blackwell finished 3rd in 2008-09, this current Wilder team won't get anywhere close to 3rd.

If you haven't forgottren, we finished 3rd 18 months ago, but plenty on here went on about how shit the football was.

It seems we want Barcelona football and results, but no fucker wants to put the hard yards in and actually support their team.

I was there too and it was indeed shit.

But it was no worse than much of what we've seen from Wilder in the past 12 months.

It got worse as the season went on as it started to slowly dawn on people that we weren't as good as Leeds and Burnley.

I'd say the majority of people were quite happy with what we we're doing up until Christmas.

Having said that, it all would have been forgiven/forgotten had we beat Sunderland Wembley.
