If you genuinely think that the passing football we are currently playing, is similar to Blackwell's hoof, then there is no reasoning with you.

By the way, be careful when you get near the edge of the world- you don't want to fall off.
Well, i don’t think it. It’s clearly demonstrated in the numbers.

If you don’t think the Derby game was reminiscent of the worst of Blackwell then Covid has left holes in your brain.

I genuinely do not understand why people feel the need to be so defensive about Wilder- especially in the wake of (increasingly fleeting) decent performances.

He should be held accountable when things that are well within his umbrella of responsibility aren't going well- and whilst he should also be praised where appropriate, one decent performance against a team that are all over the place doesn't suddenly invalidate the legitimate and very real concerns that have been expressed by many about how we've been approaching games so far.

The weirdly sycophantic behaviour of people acting like Wilder should be absolved of any criticism because we beat Wrexham 1-0 is crazy to me, and I'm sincerely astounded by the number of people who'd seemingly happily see our club stagnate as long as Wilder is at the helm.
I do agree this point.

He was wrong to not be picking Donovan because he’s a more creative outlet than both BBD and Chong.

Because he came in and plays well isn’t some “see, I told you I was handling him right” type of moment at all.

We do need to move on together and keep picking our best team and as long as that doesn’t venture back into ‘clever shit our everyday fans wouldn’t understand’ territory then it won’t be hard to move on.

Good for Chris that BBD scored and good for all of us. It does somewhat put the spotlight once more on how little we need Cannon, but he can only pick XI so some will always miss out. I’d definitely sell Cannon if we could get our money back in January.

Let’s hope players stay fit now so changes aren’t enforced as it’s then that the likes of Choudhury at right back happens and when Seriki is fit then there’s no need at all for that.

We are 22nd in the league for possession
23rd in the league for passing accuracy
2nd in the league for long balls attempted.

It might not be quite as bad as Blackwell signing Leon B to hoof the ball over his head continuously for 90 minutes but the style of play has been pretty bad.

We’ve played a ‘passing style’ what 2/3 times this season and we’ve also seen numerous hoofs straight over Cannon and Bamfords head once the sideways and backwards passing doesn’t get us anywhere.

The argument is that if we’ve lost that much creativity from the team then why sign players like Choudhary, Doherty, Riedewald (all on decent wages) when other players were available?

He prefers neat and tidy footballers rather than creative players - even the forwards he’s signed like Diaz aren’t exactly flying wingers, and this is why we’re getting served up turgid slow sideways and backwards football.

When you see that Moylan went for <£2m and will be on a league one wage it makes you question our recruitment even more. This is exactly the sort of player the wilder of 5 years ago would have been all over.
You are right KMC regarding Moylan we should be monitoring the players playing for the top teams in league 1, I do believe though that Cardiff had the advantage regarding Moylan due to them competing against him last season. Not sure when they signed him during the window but would probably have been one of their top priorities.

I know you are, you said you are but what am I 🤦‍♂️

Anyway I’d love to continue this school playground bollocks but I’m off to throw darts at a picture of Wilder’s face 👍
Have a wonderful day 😘😘😘😘
There’s an ignore button mate. Absolute bliss. You can just see there was a comment rather than being forced to waste your time.

But where are we in the league for Pashun, Culchure and xPR (Expected Peroni)?

That’s all that matters after all.

Random statistics.

10th in the table this morning, the only stat to watch, it ain’t how, it’s how many…

I rarely single out individual posters, as everyone is entitled to to an opinion, but RandomBlade I have to ask, what exactly are you trying to achieve on this thread, aside from literally criticising fellow fans who dare to have a difference of opinion?

All these “did you go” and “plastic fans” nonsense does nothing other than file up those targeted and drive a wedge even further down the fan base.

You’re a Wilder fan, we get it, but does that mean that everyone who isn’t is therefore subject to your multiple ranting a back? Are you trying to change people’s opinions? Because it’s working less in your favour than you seem to think.

I didn’t go, and I’m not a CW fan. Beating a poor Wrexham side at home by a tap in to an empty net doesn’t move that dial one iota. His tactics have been poor since the 90 point season, his pressers embarrassing, his signings shocking for the most part, and most crucially he’s stubborn, seemingly immune to criticism, and approaches games like he’s got no clue who his best eleven are.

It IS ok to look at the evidence and arrive at the conclusion that while he’s achieved great things previously, he’s nowhere near the same person he was. Strip away the support of Knill, the solid defence of Anel and Soutta, and the creativity of countless players, and he’s badly exposed as having a very rough plan A, and nothing further to add.

If your car broke and a mechanic fixed it once, then broke it several times after, do you keep going back because they fixed it that first time?

It’s madness, and by targeting people of such an opinion you’re actually making the situation worse.
The bloke’s an absolute tit, the kind of poster that the ignore function was made for.

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Sticking by the club doesn’t mean blindly supporting the manager no matter what though- if anything truly supporting the club means voicing your opinion when things aren’t going so well.

Chris Wilder ≠ Sheffield United Football Club.
I dont stick by any manager blindly, nerver have done, nor do I blindly slag a manager off just befause I dont like him.

I'm a Gemini. What can you tell me about statistics.

Cherry picking statistics is the practice of selectively presenting data, time periods, or studies that support a specific claim while ignoring contradictory evidence.

What is Cherry Picking?

• Definition: It is a logical fallacy—specifically the fallacy of incomplete evidence—where individual data points or favorable trends are highlighted while the larger, representative dataset is hidden or downplayed.
• True Numbers, False Conclusion: The individual statistics or numbers used are often technically accurate, but the context is missing, making the overall picture deceptive.

Random statistics.

They weren’t random statistics at all, they were selected in direct response to a point someone else was trying to make.

I said a few posts ago that Friday night was the best we’ve played all season - so well done to the lads for that.

One game doesn’t change the fact that for me the concerns outweigh the positives of that result so far. I want the best for my club, I’ve been a season ticket holder for over 20 years and would never want to see us lose a game or be anything other than as successful as possible. It’s my opinion and I’m entitled to it just as you’re entitled to your own if you think everything is going great then that’s fine. We’re still allowed to discuss matters.

If that’s aimed at my post a few posts ago - which statistics would you chose to counter argument someone saying we are playing a “passing style”?

Cherry picking a random stat would’ve been throwing XG for or against into the argument when in reality those have nothing to do with passing.

The stats I posted were the most relevant stats for that debate.

Spot on, you have yours, I have mine, no harm done….👍

Instead you can waste your time imagining what he has written and invent some real beauties, such as, "You all smell and I love Chris Wilder - I've saved him my favourite Love Hearts".

To what end? Make the playoffs so wilder can bottle it at Wembley again? Get promoted so he can spunk money on players like Rodwell, Brewster, Freeman, Morison etc? Get battered 5-0 every week and he walks out in a mards halfway through the season again?

We’ve seen it all before. We want something new.

Surely every Blade wants to see us in the play-off’s this season?

Which with a fair wind is a possibility.

Your opinion isnt objecive at all, its objectionable. Only saying bad things about Wilder and attacking anyone with a different opinion doesnt make you a better supporter than anyone else. Its a long way down off that high horse isnt it?
It’s only objectionable to someone who can’t accept objective debate, maybe that’s you ?
