What a nonsense post. Wilder has been rightly criticised for awful tactics and poor signings of old journeymen. We all welcome the win but even today a half decent side easily puts us away by 4 or 5.

You call my post nonsense, and yet there is a huge number of posts on this thread and this forum proving my point, including your own:
"We all welcome the win but..."

Will you still appreciate him if we get relegated or will that be someone else's fault and not on him at all?

Yes, I will still appreciate him. I will appreciate everything good that he's done for this club over the many, many years he's had a professional association with us. I will also continue to understand that he's human and that, as such, he isn't perfect; he has flaws and makes mistakes just like everyone else.

I often see, on here, the accusation that those of us still supporting Wilder are blind to his faults, that we're in a cult, and that he can do no wrong with us. That's nonsense. I know he has faults. The difference is that I don't and won't hold the fact that he's human, and has faults and imperfections, against him.

I hope that we won't get relegated, but if we do, I will understand and appreciate that he will have done his absolute level best to avoid that outcome, and I won't allow one relegation working under extremely difficult circumstances, to tarnish my memories of the good times I've enjoyed under his stewardship, or to tarnish my appreciation for him and what he's achieved for this club, both as manager and player.

Others have seemingly already allowed the fact that he's not perfect, that he couldn't pull off keeping us in the top flight playing innovative, exciting football forever, to tarnish their feelings for him, and their memories of the good times with him. I find that sad. Life is difficult and stressful enough, without allowing the fact that magical moments don't last forever, to spoil your enjoyment and appreciation of those magical moments.

I will continue to look for the good. I will continue to look at my avatar and see one of my all-time favourite managers holding up the shirt of one of my all-time favourite players and know that there is beauty in that picture. There is the beauty of a man having such respect, such appreciation, and such love, for a player sadly lost, that he carries that player's shirt around with him to every match, and holds it high. And the beauty of knowing that, while that player's life was cut cruelly short, within that life, however short, there was joy, success, celebration and happiness, in part because of his time spent with us enjoying the achievements and success that were brought about, in part, because of his relationship with the man holding his shirt.

So, yes, I will continue to appreciate Chris Wilder. I won't allow the fact that he's not perfect and can't keep the best times going forever because he's human, to spoil everything good, everything positive, and everything joyous, that he's brought to my club, my memories, and my life.

Yeah I agree entirely. I don't think we'll get relegated. It was just a hypothetical reply to someone else's post saying how much the vast majority of fans appreciate Wilder.
The poll at the top does lie. He does have the appreciation and support of the vast majority of us despite what some will say. We are poor at the minute but when your trying to find a system that suits us when he’s lost his best 3 players and we currently don’t have a number 10 then it’s points on the board that matter first and foremost.

I was planning on being but then my black outfit and face covering didn't get delivered on time so thought I'd stay home and watch the Blades game instead 👍

Can't believe you don't have a black outfit. I have several. Black goes with everything. It’s essential for gigs, funerals, protests, spontanious mime performances etc

He had 41 games last season to fashion a team and style of play. Then he comes out and says this season will be different, what is different? Again we have sold our best players, again we scramble around on the last day of the window looking for players (only free's or loans mind) despite wanting Souter for £10m for weeks (glad we are skint).
What players we have managed to get Donovan apart are old, unfit, on big wages that have no resale value and are generally crap and past it having played very little real football for months. People then wonder why the club is hemorrhaging money that could be spent on picking up young players that could be developed to contribute to the team and if necessary sold for a profit. Who do we sell in the next window to balance the books?

I don't think this needs to become a pro and anti Chris Wilder thing. Some of us think that Chris is currently the right man for the club while acknowledging that somewhere down the line we need to change (structure and Manager) if we are going to move forward. Others think we need to change now and that is fair enough. A minority think that because of what he he has done previously he is immune from any criticism. That does not mean whatever side you are on we shouldn't be questioning some of his decisions. It is clear to most supporters that the points we have accumulated this season are in spite of the performances which have ranged from mediocre to poor. We are selling our better players (not Wilders fault) and not replacing or bringing in inferior ones (partly Wilders fault). Despite that the squad should be capable of comfortable mid table with an outside chance of play offs (points deduction aside) but current performances suggest more bottom half potential relegation battle. Chris has to address that and I don't not buy what about all he has top contend with. Look at the other night and compare our starting eleven and options off the bench to what Blackburn had available. A lot of our squad gets into more than half of Championship teams sides. It is up to Chris to get the best out of what we have got and he has not found a way to do this yet despite what the results may suggest.

I could have probably rustled together a black outfit but didn't have the compulsory black face covering so had to stay home.
