There's only so long that someone can dine out on past achievements.He doesn’t get a free pass forever because of that. In terms of where we are, what’s happening now is far more important than what happened 5 years ago.
Since 2019/20, Chris Wilder has achieved very little and at this point, the only remedy to that would be for Leeds or Burnley to utterly capitulate like we've done or an unprecedented play off final victory at Wembley. Unless that happens, his credits, in my mind, have run out. If we don't go up, this season will be remembered for his antics over the last couple of weeks and a royal balls-up of things with derby victories being nothing but a sub-plot.
After that, it's Soccer Saturday, taking a job in the lower leagues or the after dinner speaking circuit because post-pandemic Chris Wilder seems to approach things with a very different mentality.
