Yeah, Im up for him being given the job, just not at the Kop end at home- an inch over the bar and Im in danger of concussionI love Hamers style, smash the back doors out of the ball and it'll either fly in or fly miles over....
More chance of signing Arnold Palmer!Cole Palmer?
The one he actually managed to score was pretty feeble. Just give it Burrows or Hamer FFS.Brewster has missed his last 2 penalties, Wrexham (League Cup) and Blackpool (22/23 season).
Moore scored his last penalty but last night it was a poor penalty, if you're going to go down the middle at least put a bit of height on it so you can clear the keepers legs, match report on BBC Sport said he mis-hit the penalty?
OsulaFor me Hamer has the best shot on him so should take the next penalty . Its the second time this season we have had a penalty saved. Itwasn't an awful penalty from Moore but didn't feel he was going to score. I think Moore has done OK for us today, but wouldn't be my first choice for penalty taker.
He did miss one for Darlington in a FA Cup matchPeter Duffield. He’s never missed one.
Still banging them in on his Playstation 1, aged 55.
Such a bad decision to have Moore on Pens. Not Moore.
1. Hamer.
2. Blaster.
3. Burrows.

Based on what, how he takes them in training, how willing he his to step up, or his record?Such a bad decision to have Moore on Pens.
Gaffer hasn’t got much wrong this season so far. For sure, this is a mistake. He should now be bold enough to take Moore off them even if it knocks the lads confidence.

Burrows is great with a dead ball.
With both feet. Having a pen saved is forgivable, however if they miss the target I would stop their money. They’re professional footballers who get paid a lot of money to kick a ball. Everyone of them therefore should be capable of smashing it in either top corner.
He doesn’t “specialise” in dead ball situations. For starters.Based on what, how he takes them in training, how willing he his to step up, or his record?
Sorry Hamer!Hammer should take the penalties
Should it be a bigger factor than his penalty record? Or his actual willingness to take them? (Not that I think dead ball speciality is particularly relevant anyway. Sharp? Maguire? Blackman?)He doesn’t “specialise” in dead ball situations. For starters.
Not necessarily an issue as he’s more often than not tasked with getting on the end of them.
But it should be a factor.
He’s not the most natural of finishers either. IMHO.
All things considered, he should now be relieved of this duty.

To say it's "such a bad decision" without actually knowing many of the factors involved is just needlessly negative. It's one thing to suggest player x might be better, but you shouldn't slate the management when they actually talk to player x, who might have said "I don't want to take them".
Right, so we're including a penalty he'd not yet taken, but discounting penalties he'd taken for other clubs when judging the decision of our management. Thought you were a more sensible poster than that but no harm done. His penalty record is now 1 in 3.
That’s simply not good enough.
I don’t believe that players, like Hamer, Blaster and Burrows as were my suggestions a few months ago, would turn down the opportunity if it was presented. It simply goes against their undoubted professionalism and belief in their own abilities. I might be wrong.
I have no idea what goes on in the background or in training. Who does ?
What I do believe my well trained eyes are telling me is that having Moore on penalties is, shall we say, sub optimal.
It’s my opinion he should now be instantly relieved of the duty.

He has taken 3 for us. It’s my OPINION that all 3 of them were poorly executed.Right, so we're including a penalty he'd not yet taken, but discounting penalties he'd taken for other clubs when judging the decision of our management. I wasn't confident when he stepped up and I wouldn't be confident if he stepped up again. He has taken 3 for us. It’s my OPINION that all 3 of them were poorly executed.
He has done an OK job for us in general terms although yesterday was an off night.
We have players in the team who should be in front of him on pen duty. IMO.
Would you be confident if / when he steps up to take the next one ?
Were you confident when he did so yesterday ?
I’m in the No and No camp you will be surprised to hear !!
UTB
Aye OK. I can’t but hey ho !!I wasn't confident when he stepped up and I wouldn't be confident if he stepped up again.
That said, once I looked at his record and the records of our other players (or lack thereof), I can understand why he's our penalty taker.
