...from the 'PFA League 1 Team of the Year' is worth a punt?

PFA_Team.jpg

We've got Duffy, the 'keeper has gone up with Burton and four others have gone up with Wigan. Grigg is probably good enough for the division above, but I can't say I know anything about the other Wiganers or whether they're likely to be replaced with better.

Dack seems to be 'the name' at the moment so I expect him to go higher up for big money and be shit, like that ginger Chezzy fella who went to Cardiff and did very little. Left back is seemingly covered now so that might rule out Henry (although competition is healthy).

Armstrong? Egan? Sawyers? After people's thoughts and ideas on this as I'm quite bad at keeping tabs on other clubs' players.

Egan and Sawyers are out of contract, they're the only two we could really go for but both will have Championship options. Although I do think Sawyers is a bit over rated by many.

I'd love us to sign Eion Doyle tbh

I think he'd actually play quite well with Sharp too. Would be a good signing even if he didn't hit the goalscoring heights he did last time in L1.

I would like to see us sign sawyers and I have said this for the last couple of season.

I think he is a very good player with all round game. He is fast skillful and can pull strings in the centre of the park, agreed he has his off days and could go missing some matches but I think he is well worth a risk.

He can also cover for either wing and I think he would add to our midfield and give us a burst of energy in the midfield and also push forward when needed to add to the attacking threat. He is also very robust and doesn't pick up many injuries that I can think of.

Think when we was away at walsall he seemed to pull the strings and think with out sawyers and Tom Bradshaw walsall would be struggling and look where they ended up this season. Obviously this is just my opinion and other people might not agree.

Egan and Sawyers, however everytime I have mentioned Egan before I have been told he's moving to Brentford.

Stevie May would be a good option for us but he's just coming back from a knee ligament injury which kept him out all last season.

I'd rather us go for Doyle, maybe on a loan deal, but I think we'd have to pay a fee.

John Egan is a solid, commanding leader at the back at this level, good in the air and strong in the challenge, he might not possess fantastic skills on the deck, but at 23 I'd definitely take him.

And Romaine Sawyers has a lot going for him, he's a bright spark in midfield, he's very positive in the final third and always looking to make things happen, has good pace and scores a lot of good goals from range. I'd definitely take both, but wouldn't be surprised if both move up a level.

*a quick look at Twitter suggests both are likely to be moving to Brentford.

Would love us to sign Sawyers, seems to blow hot and cold but on his day is the best midfielder in the division. Ripped us apart at their place. Think he'll move to the Championship though unfortunately

I'd take a punt on Stevie May as well !

Stevie May who does seem to be out of his depth at S6 , that why they got rid .

Could see him really becoming a force under Wilder . Gives us options and would be a better shout than Hanson . Never know we might get him on loan . Up to Wilder , and whoever comes in will be a asset . The bloke knows what he is doing which makes a positive difference . Like Adkins but no bullshit , buzzwords , or bollocks and knows what he is doing . In fact thank fuck he is nothing like Adkins .:D
