ultra tricky month coming up;

Sunderland (a)
Bolton (a)
Norwich (h)
Pigs (a)
Wolves (h)
Forest (a)

I guess we'd all have taken 9 points from August but if we can get anywhere near that in September we'll have done well. There's a few teams already showing inconsistency and as ever, anyone can beat anyone on the day in this division.

I reckon 6/7 points will be a good return but the lack of goals aside from Billy is the main worry, particularly away from home.

Can see at least 9 points from that lot.

August was allus going to be the toughest of starts. The confidence and momentum we have generated from the performances this month will stand us in great stead for the next set of fixtures.

Pigs are shittin' thi'sens.

Sunderland and Norwich don't look as hard as they might have done. We should beat Bolton. Not a bad 3 games for us there.

Tough month but i'd say that we're at least on a par with the first 4.

Sunderland (a) - 1
Bolton (a) - 3
Norwich (h) - 3
Pigs (a) - 3
Wolves (h) - 1
Forest (a) - 1

12 points prediction... although the pigs game will probably be a 1-1 draw. So make that 10-12 points

Wolves could be a bit of a bastard. The rest are currently looking prone to conceding goals.

According to a Pig mate of mine, the Grunters are in all sorts of turmoil behind the scenes. I very much hope that this situation continues for another month at least.

Looks great (especially after yesterday).

Wobbly Mackems, Phil Parkinson's Footballing Maestros, Underperforming Norrich, Terrified Pigs, Galacticos on £80grand-a-week, and then the Scabs.

No guarantees, but yesterday showed we're comfortable in La Liga.

So, generally feeling jolly about September

Cant see why we cant get double figures out of the 18 available

barnsley just hghlighted how poor Sunderland can be
no fear in going to Bolton or the piggery
norwich defence is like a sieve
wolves at home , well we are at home
and forest blow hot and cold , looked toothless against leeds last night

It's a shame we go into the Sunderland game on the back of them getting thumped by the Dingles. They will be eager to get back on track

Without wanting to get too giddy and come across as arrogant, there is only Wolves from that lot that genuinely worries me at the moment. Norwich will also get better before too long.
Sunderland away could be very tough. Grayson will make them hard to beat until he figures out a way to get them firing, but saying that their home atmosphere could get toxic very quickly if we take it to them early.
I reckon we will beat Notlob and the Pigs, maybe Florest as well.

Why are the Sunderland bolton and norwidh games tricky? I thought The Derby results shows we will give everyone a game this season. Let's just enjoy the ride

We don't do draws....so win half, lose half.

At best win 4 lose 2

It's the championship, anyone can beat anyone. I suspect that by the time we go to Forest teams won't be underestimating us as much and that will be the next challenge.

I think people are forgetting that we've currently lost all our away games (admittedly 2) and four of our six games next month are away from home.

Sunderland (a) - 0
Bolton (a) - 3
Norwich (h) - 3
Pigs (a) - 1
Wolves (h) - 1
Forest (a) - 0

I think 8 points is realistic as things stand.

Anything could happen at Sunderland. Bolton will be tricky. I think we can beat Norwich at home but their incredibly inconsistent again this season. I don't even want to think about the derby at this stage. Wolves will be tough but I think we can get a point. I think Forest will be the hardest game.

It's a good time to play Sunderland - not yet come together in this division, negativity rife on the stands and a new manager bedding in.

Just a pity there's a break just when we look like finding our feet. Sunderland will be shell shocked after getting hammered at Barnsley and it might have been a good time to play them

Now Sunderland and Norwich get a break to regroup and sort things out after getting hammered

Wow, lot's of positivity in here, and to think I used to be called a 'clapper' :D

Wished we were playing them sooner than we are.

We all know we should've only lost one if it wasn't for an awful decision late on.

Sun'lun haven't won a home league game in 2017. We're usually pretty good at ending runs like that.

By the end of September we'll all be very skint Blades fans looking at all those away games, well for them that go to them all!

Could have easily lost to Brentford and Boro could have been out of sight in that game. We're not going to be gifted goals like Satdi every week either, just sayin'........

As we haven't played them in over a decade it's worth reminding people about our terrible record at Sunderland.

We have never won at the Stadium of Light. Since the War, our record at Roker Park and the Stadium of Light is:

League: Won 2 Drew 7 Lost 17
Cups and Playoffs: Won 0 Drew 1 Lost 4

Our two wins were in 1987 in front of a soon to be relegated Sunderland's lowest ever league home crowd, and as part of the 7 match winning run in 1991 when Hodges did his headbutt in the mayhem after the game. We did not win there between 1927 and 1987.

We have also not won at Bolton in the League in 10 attempts - our last win was in 1977 - though of course we won there in the Cup under Robson.
