Given Kevin McDonald is very unlikely to make it to the cut-off point (13th April?) without getting his 10th yellow (he has yet to go more than 5 league games without one this term), when would be the 'best' time for him to miss two games?

Is there an argument that he'd be better off getting booked on Saturday and missing the away games at Crewe and Stevenage? If we lost him for Brentford and Tranmere, that could/would be a disaster.

Not quite so worried about when we lose McMahon (although obviously he's part of a defence which is doing very well).

not the disaster it could have been with Barry robsons addition ,he gets a lot of bookings for a non ball winning midfielder ,although some are ridiculous like saturdays #fuckingincompetentwankreferees

Is he more influential at Home or Away?

Given the way teams set up at BL, there is an arguement that he might (might) be missed less there when he has 2 banks of 4 in front of him...

worse case scenario is if McMahon is suspended at the same time (also on 9 bookings)

Get him suspended ASAP. That way were more likely to have time to recover IF we miss him when he's out.

what about a crazy idea of him not getting booked again?

Im sure danny has spoken to him about him being a card away from suspension tho
maybe there waiting for the opportune moment?

First the religion thing and now this. you really are coming up with some barmy ideas. :D

Were you at the Hartlepool game? I mean McMahon isn't the best but Westlake does not fill me with confidence.

There were a couple of games where we played Westlake AND Williams (sorry everyone, I know I'm not allowed to mention him in a positive light, but here we go) and we actually played quite a bit of good football. Rather than having full-backs whose heads seem to fall off if they pass the half way line, we had two more players bombing forward and giving the midfield some extra options.

Granted, we looked dodgy defensively, but it was a bit more exciting than watching Hill hobble up the line or McMahon slam the anchors on and scratch his head as he saw the half way point of the pitch approaching.

I'm not saying this was always the case though. Both players have been involved in some absolutely shit performances too.
