It's as simple as that really.

  • With the exception of Sharp all his signings have been rather suspect.
  • He appears incapable of putting into place any sensible tactics.
  • He changes formation from one week to the next.
  • His team selection is often highly "debatable" and shows illogic favourtism.
  • His subsitutions are generally very "curious".
  • Many of his players seem unfit.
  • He appears to have lost a large section of the dressing room.

To me, it seems that all he has brought to the Blades is an old CV.

Answers, as to what he has actually brought to the party, on the back of a postage stamp please.

Just read this from Blades Mad which was posted on FB

"He's tried to get the players out, but some of them cant be shifted for financial reasons, and won't take the wage cuts required to move on. Some are happy to sit on their ass as "Sheffield United" players. One of the more desirable ones, Scougall, is Adkins' passport to strengthening our team -he wont be let go for nothing (there's been considerable interest in him). Some young players are dropped just because he cannot expect them to go through the physical rigours required, without it potentially damaging them longer term. He's in an extremely uncomfortable position, because he has to ask players who don't want to play for him or the board to put in a shift. The players who are the problem are the most obvious ones, who have not put in much effort all season, have vanished, or have already moved on (not James Wallace). There are players who are claiming to be more hurt than they are as they look towards pastures new, and when they play are not seen on the pitch for weeks. He has already had these conversations with McCabe a long time ago, and the major surgery required has been put off. The board are/were well aware of the squad's general unhappiness with Clough's departure. Adkins is challenging everything behind the scenes, and could potentially modernise the footballing and administrative side of the club - if he and the board can ride out the current storm. His playing Cuveliar on tuesday was an act of desperation, he needs slowly ushering back in and felt a twinge after the Rochdale game. A nightmare! Operation next season has already started with the signing of Baptiste. I expect him to sign for the Blades if he proves he's still the player he was and Boro go up. We wouldn't have him on such favourable terms otherwise."

I'll let some one else tell you

Well he's brought Bappy "Baps" Baptiste to the party. The life & soul...

I'd say barring Sammon (who might not have been his signings) he's brought players in with more character. Sharp has shown an excellent attitude. Woolford and Hammond but a shift in but lack ability. Edgar and Hammond have been captains at decent levels. We need better ability to compliment that character. Hopefully, when he moves all the wankers on in the summer, he'll be able to acquire that better ability.

In the meantime, all he has brought is a level of protection and positivity for players that don't remotely deserve it. Let's see if he can identify and acquire ones that do.

Adkins probably had no idea how utterly shyte these players are, he almost certainly had no idea of their lack of common decency and awareness of how privileged they are.

These type of players have to have a Bassett or a Warnock managing them because they can't motivate themselves, only a manager who they are afraid of will get them to work hard but the lack of ability will still tell at the end of the day. This shower have no ambition to better themselves and will just be looking forward to pay day for as long as it lasts. When it's all over they will talk in the boozers and clubs about the days they were a pro footballer.
They'll have to talk about it because nobody will recognise them.

Quality players are motivated from within, a mild mannered manager can get good things out of them because not only is the quality there but the commitment and drive to achieve something in the game Is there as well. A manager can then concentrate on tactics and improvement in training with players that actually want to be better.

I will go as far as to say that not since the early 1970's have we had a decent team.
We've had teams that have achieved Premier League status whilst being shyte because of a manager that they were scared to underperform for:
Or, we've had wankers like this lot without a care in the world and no man manager to kick their faces in when they don't perform

Nowt much. But before we pull the trigger on Adkins, we need him to clear out all these fuckin prima donnas first. The players can't be seen to win on this one. If Adkins goes and them cunts are still here, that would be a nightmare scenario.

He's bought the clowns.

Not as much as what Pablo Escobar can bring to the party.

Sanitation, education, art, law & order, roads, medicine, the aqueduct, and of course wine.

Fuck it lets go down to the fourth and rebuild.
I've thrown the towel in

Fuck all

Since Adkins joined us I have enjoyed only one home game(v Bradford)
With David weir it was v Notts county
With Micky Adams it was v Leeds
Weir lasted 13 games,Adams 24
If it wasn't for the fact that our constantly changing the manager policy hasn't worked,Adkins would be a dead man walking..
my biggest worry is that Adkins rebuilds in the summer and we have a poor start next season, for me his recruitment skills leave a lot to be desired, stick or twist?
What has he brought to the table?
Loads of misery, frustration and far too many ruined weekends tbh
