What does David Weir think ?

as for Robson, well i think macabe got the football version of c*nt struck, and fell for the image of an ex England captain. That said he should have pulled the plug on him spunking loads of coin up the transfer wall of shame.

The Robson appointment was less excusable of the two. With Weir, it was a gamble on someone with no track record, starting their career. With Robson, he'd been around for years, had numerous examples of failure, and anyone with any sense could see it wasn't going to work - it was the only appointment since I've been following the club where I have been 100% sure it was going to be a complete and utter disaster.

I think Robson was Terry Robinson's choice. Yes a disaster and the after the relegation the start of and main reason for our demise.

From James Shield's column in today's Star:

"Cast your minds back to when the likes of Leon Britton and David Cotterill were on United’s books before departing, far too soon, having failed to cement places in the starting eleven. Britton is now plying his trade in the Premier League while Cotterill, despite Doncaster Rovers’ recent relegation from the Championship, has spent the past nine months in the second tier. Even more of a waste was the bizarre case of Nathan Dyer who, having been secured on loan from Southampton in 2008, tasted only 284 minutes of action during a 14 week stint. (The maximum available was 630)."

Hi James!

Leon Britton left cos he wanted to as i recall, he was atrocious for us, but obviously a good player. Britton and Cotts did play in the starting 11, cotts having the worst game ever in the playoff final vs Burnley, but yes we could have got more from him and he's done well since leaving us. Nathan Dyer was v young then, great player now but unproven then. some of the players we've had over the years have played lots and just been crap time and time again for us, sadly like Billy Sharp.

Leon britton left because he wanted to play football normally again.I think he played under 3 or 4 managers in his small time with us,the lad started at lilleshall,he's clearly shown at swansea he's a little gem time and time again.

We at sheff utd could fuck messi and ronaldo up no problem. We seem to have the uncanny knack of not getting the best out of clearly good players.Lets hope cloughy can change this.
