What an anti climax!

If you didn't enjoy today you may as well give up

I enjoyed every last second right up to the point I stumbled in the door and our lass gave me a bollocking

I did enjoy it - don't get me wrong. But I thought considering the achievement and size of the crowd the atmosphere was pretty flat tbh. When 350 Chesterfield fans sang "we forgot you were here" it just about summed it up.

Compared to previous promotions it was tame tbh. But I suppose not all will appreciate that. I'm delighted that we won the division in style though and am looking forward to the announcements next week.

Ins/outs and maybe something about future investment? Possibly a change of ownership too? Who knows?

Get over yourself. What an end to a brilliant season. No we weren't on it today, but it was the final game In an unforgettable season

sorry and I know I'll be vilified for this but I don't really care...I believe in saying it how it is...

That was a shite performance today! The biggest crowd since Prem days and a chance to persuade many neutrals to follow us next season and we played absolutely awful.

If relegated Chesterfield had took their chances we'd have lost.

The atmosphere was garbage and the absence of a pitch invasion spoiled it for me. Never mind all these 2 year olds who don't even realise what they've witnessed. Let us old guys on the pitch to Chair the manager around the ground for his fantastic achievement!

Worst promotion ever! What a shame!!

Tosser !!

I'm really not one for all this "crap atmosphere....you need to all support better" stuff. Who cares?!

We have won the league in style with 100 points, ended our long stay in a division we don't want to be in and saw our talisman captain get his 30th of the season before lifting the trophy. It was perfect and was my proudest moment as a Blade. I couldn't give a shit how anyone else enjoyed it. It meant the world to me and if it meant the same for fellow Blades then I'm pleased for them too.

Anyone that thinks that was an anti-climax will never be happy so my advice is don't bother with football. Days like that are as good as it gets folks.

Sometimes when you have the opinion of having a higher intellect , superiour to others on the forum , the next thing you will be on about is sharks and trolls . Ok your OP was taking the piss , but remember this year was shit or bust , and a great relief we are finally out of this league.

Just enjoy the occasion as they are few and far between .

Also other forum members ain't daft . No do as I say not as I do . Sometimes you can be too clever.

You are so right,

You will be vilified (and imo, rightly so).

CHAMPIONS 2017

im laughing at the ones who said the op was being ironic. turns out he/she wasn't! not so clever now :p ...is the op morrissey?! miserable bugger

Some people see things differently dont they
Because we didnt win by 5 or 6 as they wanted it was a crap game
Other teams arent supposed to try and spoil our day
The fact we won got 100 points billy hit his 30 th and we finished 18 points clear of the play offs .well we can forget that now its been spoilt by not destroying them
How dare we not win 7-0

I'm surprised you had time to post this. I thought you were busy congratulating the Pigs on reaching the playoffs or telling us all Billy Sharp is ready for the knackers yard.

You don't need to keep the fishing rod out, you got the bites.

The season finished yesterday, it's 6:15am UK time and we haven't made a signing yet. Sack the board.

Compared to the high standards we exhibited before yesterday (I'm thinking such as Scunthorpe, Bolton and Bradford) we didn't play well. These things happen. Even Barcelona have an off day sometimes. No need to slit your wrists though or let it ruin your day (or mine).

The best atmospheres are in games where there is something to play for, Northampton away will live with me forever. Yesterday was a party and I think the players were desperate for the game to end so that they could start the celebrating.

But it is. A very good one.

In an ideal world would you want 40 posts with people laughing along with how hilariously ironic the OP is. I mean, I like to think that I understand irony, everything I say is a piss take. But it comes across as the guy isn't joking. It's not obscure enough to be irony, it was quiet to be fair, and the performance was pretty poor. So I can understand those views.

Also, even if it is a wind up then he's still a cunt, right? It's not even funny. It reads like exaggerated truth to try and get a bigger reaction.

Haha, good one OP. It's funny because you're trying to wind us all up and make us think you're being serious! But my name's seanbeenstattoo and I'm too clever for that and I know your game!

In all fairness, I was sat at the front of the KOP, and we couldn't hear the Chesterfield fans at all, not even when they scored? We could see them celebrating, but no noise!? I guess it must've depended where you were sat???

One thing I did really enjoy, and I'm not sure how many noticed, was the stupid chezzy child that tried to show off with his flare, and consequently set his designer jacket sleeve on fire!!! That was amusing!!! Twat!
What wasn't amusing though, was our own fucking idiot fans at the back of the KOP, to say they're supposed to be blades fans, they're absolute fucking cretins!
Firstly lighting flares, which normal people know is a bad idea in a crowd anyway, but then, to throw the fuckin things into their own fans,so they wouldn't get caught, especially as there were so many kids in there too, absolutely brainless, your not really blades, your fuckin idiots, and deserve banning for life!!! Think how you'd feel if your son or daughter ended up disfigured for life cos a retard was trying to show off to the rest of his simple mates!! Stupid!!
Other than that I had a great day, I thought it was very emotional too, especially when the team came round to us with their kids, and Billy came to the front of the KOP with the trophy held aloft, and tears in his eyes!!! Top bloke and a great captain!!!! Very memorable occasion!!!

And how dare chezzy not roll over for us!
Disgusting on their part.
Despite saying this was anyone else just a bit puzzled as to why chezzy chose to play mind games and mess about in a game that meant nothing to them! Turning us around to start and time wasting constantly when they could have just played the game in the true sense I would have had more respect for them if they had.... but as it sits I cant wish chezzy any luck for next year

tame?? .. you should have gone up London Road it was mental

Spurs v Arsenal with same number of fans couldn't come close to what the Blades fans pumped out yesterday - what a day, what a team, what a party.......let's hope Huddersfield manage a similar celebration!

was a great day, and how long will it be until we get to celebrate another title? the op must be a pig or simple. as for chessie fans, we were sat above em and couldnt hear a thing when they scored. mustve been 350 marcel marceau fans

Hats off to you Cerberus Blade for getting so many bites. I wrongly thought of you as a jumped up snob. How wrong of me. I now realise you are #1WUM. My apologies for thinking badly of you.

Wow - you really need to lighten up. So what about the perfomance - we won and got 100 POINTS!!!! The point is, relegated Chesterfield DIDNT take their chances, and WE WON.

Not sure if you are being serious though. But if you are just on the wind up, doing it on a day like yesterday, which will be forever remembered by all Blades, then you need to get a life.

I hope Calgary Blade wasn't sitting next to you; he'd not seen United for 42 years until yesterday.
