We need to talk about Sydie Peck

I've watched some excellent penalty takers over the years. Woody being best, but even he missed the odd one. I remember him putting one straight at the Man City keeper in a game they won 3-0 at the Lane in the year the Lee, Bell Summerbee etc team won the League.
Missed 4 times. v Sunderland in 1966, v Man City in 1968, v Coventry in 1971 and v West Ham in 1973. All home games.

That needs a revisit because it’s absolute bollocks.
I was in the same camp, finally lost my patience this season with him. But hes come roaring back since Riedewald has come in next to him, hes really stepped it up.

& now hes starting to add goals to his game, which was the biggest criticism i had of him (wasnt influential enough with G/A). Hats off (again).

Agreed about his improvement recently, he moves the ball quicker with Jairo next to him, a good asset to the team. One thing I think could be improved upon is his ‘song’. I think a ‘story’ like song would be better; the likes of:
To the tune of Music Man:
‘He is a midfield man,
He comes from London way,
And he can play, …oh he can play,
Sydie, Sydie, Sydie Peck, Sydie Peck, Sydie Peck,
Sydie, Sydie, Sydie Peck, Sydie, Sydie Peck.’

I’ll get me coat!

He's really stepped up. Much is spoken about Jairo, perhaps rightly so but I think having Seriki on his right hand side helps him immensely.

Won't apologise for my comments earlier in the season which were true at the time, but he seems to have really knuckled down and come through it. Giving him the first pen was a masterstroke. He never scores that goal at Leicester without it.
