Poor lad was cast adrift by Selles early in the season, fair crack to him for bouncing back. There was clearly little love lost between the two of them. He is so much better with someone alongside him. Agree with others the Peck & Arblaster combo is what we need.

Happy he's scored a pen, and got the assist the other day even if it was a accidental pass ( I don't think it was after something similar tonight that didn't lead to chance but same kind of result) but he needs to do it regularly.

I’m not sure why one of our youngest players, an Academy graduate in his second season no less, during a spell of absolute tactical chaos and fire sales, was the one who subject to so much antagonism.

But he held his nerve, kept his head down and he’s come out of the other side. He deserves commending and backing. Like Brooks, Siriki and Blaster he’s a real talent. Great to see those young lads with a smile back on their faces again.

Don't think he always played forward, particularly in the first half. Wilder got stuck into him on a few occasions for not going out to Brooks quicker as we shifted the ball from left to right.

I think he's been one of our worst players this season.

That said, I agree that the context you provide means we should back him and keep supporting him regardless.

Having watched him in the under 21s over a period of time, he was good at that level but I was not quite sure about him progressing.Last season he looked decent but like a lot of our players never managed the required fitness levels which cost us in the end( not his fault entirely) this season, selles hung him out to dry, and to a certain extent so did Wilder. Sunday& tonight i honestly can't praise him enough and an outstanding performance now then Sydie ( and utd) go and prove it against better opposition than Portsmouth, and i don't mean that in a bad way... well done blades

Fair enough. The first part of the game was pretty dire to be fair, but on the whole I thought he was great.

There's going to be some selection issue when ollie is back and "IF" tom Davies ever gets fit ,as discussed I think sydie needs to start turning and looking forward more ? Or his automatic selection could be in danger.
Reidewald has fitted in well ( he's no vini yet ) as CDM.
