What about the old favourite Dan Burn? 6 foot 7 and left footedWe need a ...... big fkn centre half who gets his head to everything, dosn’t need to overlap as the ones weve got who cant head a ball cant overlap. How many goals have we conceeded from headers. Just get a really big fkr in
Last Season's Ollie Norwood (not to be confused with the similarly-named, yet completely unrelated This Season's Ollie Norwood) sort of did that twice didn't he? Everton & Palace. I think both went down as own goals but LSO Norwood's tricky corners deserve much of the credit for those goals.Alan Woodward needed. Who needs a decent cross, he would score direct from the corner.
I thought it was going to say Steve Neville !! Great hair though !Lost the bet with myself I was convinced it was going to say miracle
A fit Steve kabba??Franz Carr or a Peter Ndlovu......... someone who can beat a player and cross the fucking ball. thats all folks Happy new year to you all
Damn right there, I’ve seen it first hand with my lad in a professional club academy. Pass and move is obviously important but there is little that gets a crowd going like a player drifting through tackles. Hardly ever seen today, although to give him his due, Traore,The art of dribbling is virtually dead. When I was growing up in the '40s and 50s every club had tricky ball players, either as wingers or inside forwards (or both). Stanley Matthews was the most famous footballer in the country - if not the world. We had the legendary Jimmy Hagan.
Today, if any youngster shows exceptional ball skills I suspect that they are coached out of him so that he can be a good 'team player'.
