We can beat City!

Why on earth would they?
Pep said summit nice about Wilder once.

The only arguments for letting them play are based on emotions, the experience etc. We know that's a load of soppy shite that doesn't wash in real world. Nevermind if one of them scored but what if they gave a pen away or scored an own goal? People would be screaming fix. It's a shame but we know the reality is they'll be watching not playing.

I'll be astonished if City allow them to play.

Even though it's unlikely to affect the result, I just don't see why any club would sanction it in such a big game.

I don't expect City to see Doyle as part of their future either, so doubt helping his progression will play any part in their thinking.

I was about to say love Doyle and want us to sign him but hes not breaking into that City team, McAtee I could see on the fringes of that team at somepoint maybe in the future.

Yeah you’re right. We’ve also got two players coming bang in form… Doyle and McAtee… oh ffs
Don`t worry ! We`ve got Fleck , Norwood and Sharp! Citeh must be crapping themselves with that pace!
Or we could bring on Osborn to run around and really discombobulate them.

If he could finish he'd be knocking on the door. A lot less physical league and a lot more time on ball with city's possession and he'd be flying

Yeah I'd like to think that if we get promoted that we'll sign Doyle and I think we'd have every chance.

We may even get McAtee back on loan again.

It was noticeable in the summer how many City fans were disappointed that JM wasn't in their 25 man squad. He's 3 or 4 years younger than Doyle too I think.

Yes, true, we have a squad that can get results and the plus side to Doyle and McAtee being out for the cup is that they will keep focused for the league and hopefully play a big part in finishing the job of automatic promotion.

The good thing with the three players you mention is that they are vastly experienced and have player at Premier League level.

Our approach has to be different to normal league games or cup games against lower league opposition since we won't be expecting possession, just like for Spurs, where we have to be organised to get in their faces and try to control their play.

Pluses from the City v Burnley game was that for part of the game, Burnley were able to push City back to the keeper a lot. Minus is that City had a number of players that could dissect and destroy them in a few seconds by being that bit quicker, that bit faster, that bit stronger.

If Man City refuse permission for 2 kids learning their trade in the Championship to get the chance to experience a dream game they are not only obscenely corrupt but obscenely sad.
If they haven't got enough billion pound players to do us and need to refuse Mc and D the experience they are even more of a vile entity than just corrupt.
I fervently hope Haaland gets crocked in Munich, de Bruyne tweaks a hamstring and Mahrez and Foden twists an ankle.
They can play Grealish. We know how to tackle him.

We are going to need to play with players that could damage them on the break.

Midfield is going to be the big issue, and we cannot go with Norwood, Fleck and Berge as a 3 as they will get ran ragged.

I'd consider Norwood and Berge a central deeper 2, and then have Ndiaye a bit deeper behind Jebbo and Mcburnie - possibly too expansive though and still doesn't realy fix the lack of athletacism in the middle.

When has a loan player ever played against their parent club in an English league or cup competition? It doesn’t happen. We would have known this at the start of the season. That’s the risk you take with loan players. No point moaning about it now and trying to justify a reason that City should let us play them (even though the FA rules state it’s not even up to them).

I went to watch City v Everton a couple of months back. You may not have seen it, but Haaland lost his head completely, went sliding in on an Everton player and it was one of those where he could have easily got a straight red if things were an inch different. The lad can be got at. Maybe we have the players who can get at him.

Many don’t, but I think he will start. He hasn’t played at Wembley before. A red for Haaland would be our best hope
There’s the answer!
Sander says something creepy in Norwegian about Haaland’s sister and then gets head butted in the chest which leads to a red card.

32 years ago i was convinced if i could chat to Debbie Harry for just 30 seconds, i could bed her.
i got almost a minute with her at a gig in coventry, and i can still feel the kick she landed on my balls.
You should absolutely follow your dreams, but wear bollock protection.
If i lose i still have the old slag next door to shag, and we still have the league.
No one ever got anywhere by settling for second best.
I'm assuming you've got rid of the rather (very) large lady you where sharing love food with last summer and now moving your attention to your elderly lady neighbour.
Casanova got nowt on Knowsnowt.

They will press Norwood so hard he ends up behind Wes.
We have to play an athletic midfield albeit a huge gamble.
Rather see Berge, Coulibaly and Brooks than Norwood and Fleck anywhere near starting.

Harwood-Bellis didn't play for Burnley, I think the same will be for Doyle and McAtee.
Doyle definitely didn't think he could play in the interview after the match.
Would be a shame but like a few have said we get them fresh in the league.

We can beat Man City, so many many things would need to go our way, maybe an early red for them. In reality it's very doubtful.

All that said, I will be having a few jars and cheering the lads for 90+ mins and proudly clapping them after the game no matter what. Even if we play crap and get battered, to get to a semi at Wembley deserves the applause.

Sepp Van Den Berg played against his parent club in October 2021 for Preston against Liverpool

Harwood-Bellis hasn't played since the 2nd of JANUARY, injured

we cannot start fleck at wembley against city norwood maybe we will have to and i would have coulibally in there as well play jebbo up top on his own with mcburnie and nidaye behind him in a 3421 formation

I remember Bob Hatton being on loan from us to Birmingham in the 80's, he was allowed to play and scored twice at the Lane as Birmingham won 2-0.

Missed the "or" there and thought you were suggesting we field 22 players. That might give us a chance 😂
