Funny you should mention this, I listened to Undr the Cosh (a great podcast with Jon Parkin and Chris Brown) and their guest was Billy Paynter this week. I think Billy mentioned working under Warnock at some point, then at the end of the podcast, there's a snippet about "a manager" that used to take a cut of appearance money, and they referenced said manager bringing on defenders when they were winning comfortably so he could take a slice of the appearance money.....

I once asked him at a shareholders meeting why he made so many last minute substitutions when we were winning matches and how it was always the same players he brought on. He told me I knew nothing about Football.
I thought it was an interesting question, never did get an answer

The ball never went out of play despite warnock telling players to put it out, he subsequently got madder and madder and unable to get the chief on stormed down the tunnel at the end.
Always amazed me that, but then again as he pointed out I know nothing about football.

As cash rich as Croesus but still working , it appears he is driven by greed.
It was in 2003 , I recall , that he first mentioned he'd be retiring.
How many clubs , contracts , payoffs & kickbacks has he enjoyed in the 15 years since then ?
That said , one cannot decry his energy.
