Warnock

I think one or two would be better looking towards the players who've openly told these stories to rooms full of Blades and others.

I'm sure there's plenty of artistic licence at those sort of events. I've certainly raised an eyebrow at a few of Warnock's tales at such dinners of his I've attended.

He was on the radio this morning laughing about the peschilsolido story saying he told the coaching staff hed and them a few quid

Some people just look for anything to have a go at the fella

Be the same with oneofourown soon

I’d suggest that closer to 75% think he’s a twat whist acknowledging what he achieved for us. I’m one of them. He did very well indeed on a limited budget. Both he and his football, however, were unsophisticated and incapable of adapting to a higher level as he has demonstrated throughout his career. That’s why he loves the Championship, him.

Additionally, he was frequently a complete embarrassment on the touch line and in interviews.

I’ll applaud him quietly but no cheers. Very familiar at the Lane Library, come to think of it.

There may be some truth in what you say about Warnock and his past championship escapades. However, fast forward to the present and we have teams with £10-15m players as the norm, premiership loanees abounding and others with £100m+ to play with by way of parachute payments. And guess who's sat on the top of them all with none of this?

He who laughs last etc certainly isn't going to be you.

Depends whether your 7 are more reliable than my 6.

At least 3 of mine are well known as Warnock favourites :)

Ah, bugger, only two of mine are Warnock favourites. Looks like we're back to 100% certain that he did it.

I wouldn’t even smile watching a Warnock team, still less laugh.

I just hope Cardiff have the common sense to sack him before he ventures into deep waters again.

He's just signed an extension to his contract at Cardiff. In the unlikely event of him being sacked his payout will still ensure those asking who the fool is won't be looking in his direction.

He’s no fool but he’s certainly been a buffoon many times and frequently embarrassed our club with his touch line antics.

I agree he has few equals in effectively managing teams outside the top league. Once there, get rid. As repeatedly and conclusively demonstrated, he’s a top-flight liability, him. Never a second season.

Former Sheffield United players tell stories about ex manager whilst out on the p*ss

Once Colin's bunch of big black bruisers & their washing machine have bullied us to bits on Monday night , you're all gonna wish him the best of luck in the Premiership , are you ?

No , I thought not.

The twat would rob his own grandmother for ten bob.

So he ain't gonna bat an eyelid when battering us.

He belongs in the Premiership with all the other greedy cunts.

What a pity he can't survive once he gets there.

When he was our twat , I loved him ..... Once he'd gone , my objectivity returned.

I listening to the fighting talk podcast yesterday from 5 live & question 1 "was who do you want a rant this week", they got matt forde notts forest fan. his rant was with Warnock calling him "everything that is wrong with football" & for 99% of his answer I didnt have a problem with to be honest. but he mentioned "he was a mess of a manager at Sheffield utd" & I was like woah woah woah, Warnock love or hate him & I know their are plenty of the latter. but achievements were impressive, its controversial you know how much I love wilder but on achievements hes better than wilder currently. when you think in 3 yrs on shoestring budget took us from championship relegation candidates with 9,000 attendance, reported top wages of £2,000 to FA & League Semi, Play Off final,. Lost 1 league derby in 8 + 1st Sheffield double in 15yrs. promotion to the premier league by the end he had tripled our attendance

If thats being a mess of a manager, id love to see success. he took it well when I mentioned it on twitter saying he's never gotten over the 2003 play off semi final defeat

and that is exactly the problem for this guy.
I don't like Warnock (and almost referred to him as Colin then) but I will defend anybody against somebody who talks utter bollocks (unless it's me doing the spouting).

Don't they have a "defend the indefensible" round where they have to make crap up for a minute to justify a stupid statement like "Neil Warnock is everything that is wrong with football"

Maybe that was what Matt Forde was doing? If not, he's clearly a clueless idiot, especially regarding United.

no this is was question 1

And his phone won't stop ringing with struggling Championship teams desperate to have him as their manager.

And when he turns the struggling Championship team around and gets them promoted against all the odds, you'll get all the haters saying how useless he is when they unsurprisingly become a struggling Premiership team.

Said it before, Warnock over achieves getting his teams promoted. Cardiff were scrapping for relegation from the Champ when he took over.
He's hardly spent anything, so is it any wonder he's struggling in the Prem?

Compare to Fulham and Wolves who were already better and then spent over 100m!

So the usual rationale is that he can get teams up but can't do anything to keep them up. Seeing as these teams include Notts Co, Cardiff, QPR and yeah, us, what's to be expected? Win the fucking league? Each and every time he gets a pittance to spend on players compared with the rest and the owners expect him to work another miracle. Objectivity gets chucked out the window and everything degenerates into jokes about his nose. How droll.
