Paul Peschisolido on Neil Warnock taking the Sheffield Utd players bowling: "He convinced us all to put £10 in a pot, winner takes all. We agreed for some fun, then he pulled out his own bowling shoes and custom ball, shot 250 and took all our money".

To be fair, he wasn't on a great salary

(According to his book)

Only a tenner?

Does he include his percentage of The Chief’s appearance money?

Funny you should mention this, I listened to Undr the Cosh (a great podcast with Jon Parkin and Chris Brown) and their guest was Billy Paynter this week. I think Billy mentioned working under Warnock at some point, then at the end of the podcast, there's a snippet about "a manager" that used to take a cut of appearance money, and they referenced said manager bringing on defenders when they were winning comfortably so he could take a slice of the appearance money.....

I once asked him at a shareholders meeting why he made so many last minute substitutions when we were winning matches and how it was always the same players he brought on. He told me I knew nothing about Football.
I thought it was an interesting question, never did get an answer

One of the funniest moments at the Lane was Warnock trying to get the chief on for the last few minutes of a night match that we were comfortably winning. The ball never went out of play despite warnock telling players to put it out, he subsequently got madder and madder and unable to get the chief on stormed down the tunnel at the end.
Always amazed me that, but then again as he pointed out I know nothing about football.

There could be any number of genuine reasons why Warnock might want to make a late substitution.
If you can't think what they might be, I'd suggest that Warnock might have been right about you knowing nothing about Football.

He likes a mysterious substitution, him.

I was screaming at the radio when we played wigan 2007,End of the game for him to get a sub on before they scored , I thought it would waste some time

More than one player has stated you could pay him to get out of playing in a reserve game.

His team will do us this Monday , we aren't good against strong physical sides !

Looks like we will have to put up with him moaning about the refs on Match of the day next season !!

He also favoured West Country pre season tour as he would have a barbeque for all the players at his place down there. He charged them a tenner each for a couple of beers and burger. His greed is legendary.

Yes you did.

A strange mixture of practical attributes & moral defects , he is.
As cash rich as Croesus but still working , it appears he is driven by greed.
It was in 2003 , I recall , that he first mentioned he'd be retiring.
How many clubs , contracts , payoffs & kickbacks has he enjoyed in the 15 years since then ?
That said , one cannot decry his energy.

It will be a strange night on Monday.
Half the home crowd would happily wring his brass neck.
And half are still grateful for the excitement he gave us in the noughties.

But we're all wankers at the Lane.

And Colin is the biggest one of the lot !
