still no mention of how much the people in the inquiry into west ham playing ineligible players were getting in their brown envelopes , so as to decide not to dock west ham points then

One part of this that doesn't stack up for me is that if I was a footballer giving my appearance money to the manager, I'd have no respect for him. I'd have no belief in fairness in the dressing room. I'd not believe that team success is the ultimate aim.

As an outsider, it looks like a complete destroyer of team spirit. Yet look at how Warnock's teams played, and how many promotions he had.

I readily believe plenty of people in football are bent. But surely there are better ways to cream off the cash?

Here's another possible scam:

1. Player gets sent off.

2. Club levies fine.

3. Player pays only half of the fine - and pays it to the manager instead of the club.

Any resemblance to actual events is purely co-incidental.

Id say players paying to be included in any team is rife
Rooney must be paying half his wages to get on the subs bench to Mourinho

Blimey – must have been rich enough to retire after the Battle of Bramall Lane.

Here's another possible scam:

1. Club A contact a player from a lower league club and tells him they want to sign him
2. Player is asked what he currently earns and how much he expects to earn
3. Player says £1200 per week and would accept £1500 per week
4. Representative of Club A tells player that Club A will pay £2500 per week an the player will return, say £500 per week, in cash,
to the representative of club A... and everybody is happy... except for the fact that Club A have been defrauded by their representative

Could happen

Back when Warnock was our manager at least two of our youth players were told they wouldn't have a chance at the club unless they signed on with a certain agent, a relative of Warnock's I believe. Both ended up leaving and have since gone on to better things.

I was also told, by several people, stories of Warnock getting a cut of some players' appearance fees but that information wasn't as direct as the one i've mentioned above so I can't say whether it's true or not

All of this is why I've long thought that, as in some US sports, football transfer fees and wages should be publicly available information.

Congratulations

On the youth players that I mentioned, both players told me directly, both told me separately and both had the same story. I don't see any reason for either of them to lie. You are more than welcome to not believe me though if it makes you feel better.

This is exactly what I heard at the time as well.

But has this been investigated by the FA.

The MP Collins doesn't actually seem to be aware - or wasnt when he said it - of the outcome with the allegations being removed from Twitter by Puncheon and the apology although he knew of the fine. He doesn't seem to have got much info on any actual investigation by the FA other than, "wasn't me guv, I wasn't there then."

Be careful what you put on a public forum...just in case. Don't want anyone getting onto trouble

I know, that's why I haven't mentioned any names. If I did it would actually lend a bit more credibility to what I'm saying but I don't particularly care if anyone believes me and I wouldn't want to get anyone in trouble

Why mention it at all then ? I'm struggling to think of any youth players who went onto better things at that time.

Par for the course from the FA then. MP Collins?, that's his 2 mins of fame.

Only one I could think of was K McFadz.
If Warnock has a relation who's an agent I'm surprised we haven't heard before. Maybe there's a more innocent explanation like they were going to sign with an agent who's known to be a massive wanker and Warnock said, if you sign for him, you can fuck off, why not use X who's a decent agent.
Or maybe he is a bit dodgy. I suspect all the old school types were at it one way or another.

Not bothered what happens to Warnock. I feel no loyalty towards him whatsoever, which is the exact same attitude he's displayed towards us.

Not wishing to start an argument, but how would an ex-manager of a club display loyalty to said club?
