Good article, seems a top lad.

Must say though, the stats don't quite marry up to the eye test yet for me.
He looks promising but he needs to be doing a lot, lot more. He's not really dominated in any of our games yet.
You can say that again

Signing him instead of giving ourselves proper options to physically cover RCM and LCM is a mistake. He's too slow to do as much on his own as we need him to

Should have loaned him if anything and spent on a LCM who runs a lot

Would sooner have Berge in that deep lying role, and let’s be honest he wasn’t very good there. Cos he’s Brazilian and has good stats people think he’s great, unfortunately he’s not, he’s way out of his depth. Good at finger pointing though.

He has some good bits to his game and I do think there's a player in there.
But as Hamandcheese says above, we're asking a lot of him in that central role and he's probably not quite up to it yet.

The one thing he does have to cut out is the terrible body language. Saw him throwing his arms up having tantrums a few times. This isn't what we're about.
Poor from the guy that's supposed to be the midfield enforcer.

Captain should be bollocking him for carrying on like that but I fear we don't have proper leaders in our team.

Like everybody else, Anel was worse than Souzza
I’m not sure Anel was helped in the second half by being pushed out further right in a 4 against a rapid player who was ripping us to bits while he was already on a yellow card. I was just waiting for him to get sent off (and he could have been when he was pulling Gordon’s shirt if Newcastle had passed left instead of right). Don’t know what Hecky was thinking.

Aprrently has a lot of the same stats as Tommy Doyle last season. Also being part of the City Group we have a good relationship with them. Don’t know much about him but glad we’re strengthening midfield

Edit: sorry just seen the same thread created, merge please Foxy

What , playing darts?

Strange game I thought. Really involved, did some great work winning the ball back and driving forward and then three times in the first half he passed the ball straight to no one.

If he could cut out the daft mistakes and be more consistent I think he’d be a good player for a bottom half prem side.

Did anyone else notice, when wolves equalised, Souza ( I think) collapsed onto the ground and looked devastated.
Then - 10 minutes later, Norwood blasts home the penalty and Souza collapses to the ground again, probably just the sheer relief of winning at last. I think he’s here to do more than pick up a wage. He seems to care

I thought Robinson 1st half for those 3 crunching tackles on their tricky little winger.
2nd half I thought Hamer ran himself into the ground.
With an honourable mention for Trusty.
At the moment Robinson > Chris Morgan ever was.

Can’t believe that I’ve arrived at that opinion but he’s becoming talismanic with his will to win and compete.

He’s performing to a high level and has been for quite some time.

Love a good underdog, turn in around type story.
