We'll be in for a shock?

They will be in for a shock when they realize just how good we are.

And we will get better next year.

Thanks Jordo, although to be fair, I wasn't the first to use that phrase, I think it was the poet, Keats, or maybe it was Shelley, who first used it in his famous book of poems

"Romance, a love of the English countryside, and the fucking scum of S6"

Earlier,

" thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, unless you live next to one of those Piggy cunts from the Rustbucket"

"f**k em the dirty bas****s. Have a bit of faith were in the top 6 n if the top 6 stays as it is i fancy us to go up we the teams in it so no we wont be playin next year.... plus if anyone cam roger up its them they always do."

Just beautiful; almost poetic in the way it flows. His name ("Pig87" or something) suggests he's not even old enough to think a comma is a van.

This one knows all about vitriol

Not bothered about ever playing em again if I'm honest. It'd be nice for my lad to experience a proper derby but I hate em until we've won. Eyes get taken off the bigger picture and it gets built up too much.

Anyone who says they don't mind if they come up, or even worse, actually want em to come up, needs to give their head a shake. Remember when they were above us. The vitriol, the hatred, the rubbing it in. I'll never want them to win any game. If they were playing against an intergalactic 11 for the future of the human race I'd want em to lose 4-3 in the last minute having been 3 up at half time. I never want em to have any success. They're top of the league at the halfway point and their fans I come into contact with are already unbearable with their coming for you bo11ox. Hope they go on a losing run and finish outside the playoffs, they've already has too much success this season for my liking"

Typical Pig, love Wendy but hate United just a bit more.

"They've suddenly got the woodwork fans appearing again because of this run they are on"

Err?

One says it woodwork fans another says, "thousands" of free tickets. Not just our league position bothering them, attendances - their God - causing consternation as well.

If there is one club who should be wary about entering an argument about woodwork fans, its Sheffield Wednesday

they tend more to living under rocks than in the woodwork, with all the other invertebrates and creepy things.

More pig logic - ticket offer to get 30k fans into the ground (of course my pig supporting acquaintances claimed the game was a 'sell out') and then accuse us of having woodwork fans

Just read the rest of the comments from the link I posted. Hilarious! Just reminds me why I despise their fans and that club. I have never ever been able to have a level headed conversation with any of their fans because they just talk about the days of Hirst and Waddle. My take on things as it stands now if we were to play each other is they have easy a better squad but we have a manger who's head and shoulders above Carlos. Not to mention our togetherness and team spirit. The result could go either way. It'd be a cracking game though.

The thing is most of there fanbase never saw Hirst or Waddle in the butchers uniform.
Theyve only been told the stories from daddy pig and uncle pig. (and just embellished by about 10X)

Thankfully there are few Wednesday fans out there with their head screwed. One of those being a mate of mine who said "We are lucky to be in the top 6 with this side, I will be surprised if we are still there at the end of the season."

I think Carlos going through the second season syndrome that we had with Nigel Clough. He has accumulated players (37 senior players I think) and is now starting to fall out with some and cannot offload them either. Abdi barely playing a match since he signed for a good fee. McGugan and two others not even given a shirt number. A few more poor results and Carlos is going to start feeling the pressure and his only solution at the moment appears to be signing more players. (apparently the tuna man did want the wage bill to increase anymore)

Throw in the fall out they had with Forestieri who still does not seem to be in form then it's no surprise Wednesday fans are worried that we are on our way up.

Think Wednesday have dropped a bollock bringing Carlos in myself. They should've gone with a proven manager at Champ level who knows all the players inside out. Thankfully though they went with Carlos.

Very random appointment especially given that he has barely managed for more than two seasons at any previous club.

Nice bloke though which is not often you can say that about any of their managers.

Got them in the play offs last season and got them in the top 6 now, so not doing a bad job, as much as I hate to say it.

They're such smug deluded fuckers.

...that said 'IF' we go up i agree it will be hard... but it's not like we think we'll walk it...

This all reminds me of the 90s when they 'didn't care about us' and we kept beating them... and that's the way I like it...

It'd be an even greater shock to the system if their shower of shite fluked promotion,

Losing 2-0 today to a poor Boro team with 10 men and with 10 minutes to go they haven't even had a shot on target.

Can you imagine watching that dross week in week out? Carloss makes Clough look adventurous and Adkins a master tactician.

Lost 3 -0, against 10 men, me and the wife laughing our heads off here, what a lovely Sunday

The scrubbers on on there saying how much me celebrated their play off defeat and it is the only thing we have had to cheer in a decade. Jeez I remember their threads when we played hull in the semi at half time they were in complete meltdown and celebrated like they won the World Cup when we lost.

Correct me if I am wrong but in the last 10 years we have been in the prem and have numerous attempts to get back as well as numerous semi finals. While I don't necessarily think this is much to crow at they have had promotion to the championship and a play off final so you make your own minds up who has had the most glory in that time.

They'll be querying this with their Grandads, Dads, Uncles and "Uncles" who will tell them it's not true, and Wendy World will fall back on its axis again, with a big sigh of relief.

It's a no brainer. We've been promoted to the Prem and had some good runs in MAJOR cup competitions. Next season we'll be in the same division so what will they have then?

Pretty interesting read. Plenty of pork delusion and mental gymnastics but some truthful assessments of the situation too.
For what it's worth I can't see us overtaking Wednesday anytime soon even if we do wind up in the same league, they've got half a decade on us. I'd just be happy to get this season over and done with, hopefully with a promotion at the end of it and two derbies to look forward to.

Let's see if our investment is the real deal if we get promoted. McCabe has stated we wouldn't spend big til we get back in the Champ. And let's not underestimate the power of our manager. He looks the real deal imo.

Also find the insistence that League One is poor this season quite funny. It could be another situation where one team manages 90 or more pts and doesn't go up. What good is that if you can statpad against Shrewsbury?
