Verrips - have we dotted the I’s ?

I don’t know all the inns and outs, but given our history and that “it’s us” can anybody shed any light on weather we should be concerned if we play him against Man Utd.

If we do not have a water tight contract with the player that protects the club from sanctions for fielding an ineligible player then we should not risk it.

We all know what’s gonna happen if we make a mistake after our experience with “you know who” the mockney media spearheaded by samuels will make us back page news for the rest of the season, and hound us to a points deduction and more, personally I’d rather play Moore and have jags on the bench as reserve keeper if there is still a doubt over verrips

no matter how small the risk, it isn’t worth it...

The club need to make a statement, on his eligibility now, the premier league need to confirm it as well, we’re doing so well, let’s not give them an excuse..

I personally think the signing of Verrips was the brainchild of Prince Abdullah, due to his association with and knowledge of, the Belgian league?

Many people seem to have high hopes for him and some have earmarked him to replace Henderson, but from what I understand, he is very much Simon Moores understudy on merit.

If he was worse than Moore why bother? We could have just signed some old gimmer a la Liverpool and Man City to be our third choice keeper, or kept Dewhurst around.

But this is the point, if we still have doubts or something isn’t bullet proof contract wise then get ready..

We’ve been taking the high road for years now and if we aren’t upholding the same values we’re going to get penalised, the club need to set it straight before playing this guy or else all hell will break loose.

I’m not taking this lightly - and hope we don’t play him - for the sake of all we’ve achieved..

Apparently his original club have still got on open complaint lodged with FIFA, which is under investigation.
They apparently don't have an issue with United, but are looking for a transfer fee, rather than the free he came on.
Supposedly even benching him in a prem match would compromise the situation of that investigation, so we'll have to wait and see.

Cant see a problem with Moore.. good keeper not too much different to Hendo currently in my opinion, but both certainly going in different directions!
