VAR ruled this offside...

It's the ghost of the next frame that's offside. Either that or his feet are as long as his leg below the knee.

Lost two points to frame interpolation for fuck's sake.

Can we sue the Premier League for our 2 points back?

I can honestly see a situation where someone is going to sue them. Imagine getting relegated and going back through and finding VAR got 3 offsides and 5 pens wrong, and you could have had another 12 points or summat. Bedlam.

Straight off the internet and no idea about the methodology but interesting nonetheless:

Riley have the worst refereeing display I've ever seen, West Ham away 2006. Also, 3min 45 seconds - you could have played the whole of Wonderous Stories in the time it took to make that decision.

Lundstram was close to the edge but not offside. I've seen all good people make better decisions and theirs is definitely a disgrace 😉

Starting at 38.45, my Sportsdesk feature including Wonderous Stories (VAR Mix), a song called Toe The Line by GTR (VAR is killing football, AOR was killing rock) and an Ivor Cutler poem called A Hole In My Toe.

How accurate is the a 90 degree line ?, every measurment has a tolerance and over 60yards , is a laser or something located in the ground ?, or is it done with crayons , and when , whats the tolerance on that , easy to to use bias on tight decisions .

Someone did the maths think it works out the best accuracy is 20cm so basically it shouldn't be used to decide to millimeters. Should be centre mass and Benifit to the attacker.

We all know what the problems with VAR are. I am not going to list them. It is a question of finding sensible (not a word generally associated with those who run football) solutions. Theses need to be discussed and looked at carefully before being implemented. At the moment everything is a knee Jerk reaction which just leads to more inconsistencies and problems. VAR should be suspended NOW - all teams have played the same number of games - and not brought back until solutions have been found.

Apologies for bringing this up again. But.. they take the line from the defenders armpit and then measure it against the attackers foot.
I kind of understand the logic of measuring from the armpit to help register where the defenders body is. Yet that logic is warped when you don’t apply the same model to the attacker.

The bottom line is the VAR officials at the EPL are creating rules to mitigate the shortcomings of technology. Rules which create noise and debate. Which raise the profile of failed referees.

Without sounding too conspiracy orientated. The EPL has not used an established system because they do not respect the punters who attend matches.

I for one will turn my back on the pitch while VAR is being considered on future games I attend, until they adopt the same system used by European leagues. I’d like to think others will join me as VAR is not the problem. EPL VAR is the problem and it’s damaging our game.

We were amazing against Spurs, but we’ll probably just remember Didsy being robbed.

Rant over

I know it's been mentioned but the point that sticks out for me is there is no technology to definitively pinpoint when the ball leaves the foot. In all the Baldock images there is no way of telling whether the ball is still touching his boot or left it. If it is already in motion then a minute bit of time has passed which could in effect mean both the defender & Lundstram will have also moved a minuscule amount, maybe a toe of an amount.

All these & other factors surely destroy any semblance of 'clear & obvious'.

Maybe they have decided to rule out five goals for every team to even things up?

Once again another ludicrous decision, clear and obvious it isn’t, really needs reassessing and now not next bloody reason!

Surely there should be a temporary rule change now and a proper review in the summer. I don't understand how they justify enforcing decisions that rely on a level of precision that doesn't exist in the current technology.
