I know this is a long shot, but I don't suppose you know what 6.6% ale was being served in the Beer Engine on 30th March before the Bristol debacle?
Anything else to go on? Was it Stout? Sour? Hopped Pale? What colour did it look like in the glass. Was it a handpulled cask beer, or a fizzy keg beer? Why are you so sure it was 6.6? I've identified some suspects, but none are specifically 6.6%. What's going on fella? Did you like it? Was it shit? Speak to us....

One minute he was in the Beer Engine, the next thing he can remember is falling through a bus shelter roof.

Working on a prototype that takes your money and then squirts it out directly into a urinal.
Saves you the bother of drinking it and also of peeing it out. With an added bonus of no hangovers.
Investors wanted. ;)
Is it going to be called " Eurofizz Europiss " ?

OK OK OK keep your carrier bag on. It was hand pulled cask. IN NO WAY WAS THIS FIZZY. It was not a dark brown in the sense of a traditional bitter in the 60's/70's or a Brown Ale. It was just a little lighter than that so if you imagine a strong sweet hopped ale like Absolution and darken it up a bit you are getting towards the colour. The taste was similar but a more oaky rounded finish where the top notes have been taken off the citrusy hops. The reason I say 6.6 is that my mate doesn't drink at that ABV normally, but I do which is why I chose it. I could be wrong, but it was definitely over 6% and it wasn't an Abbeydale. Best I can do.

I've looked through the data. Around that time, they definitely had

Neepsend, Spruce Almighty on cask at 6.3%

From your description, it could well be that. Sounds lovely...

The Data shows someone has had it in The Shakespeare earlier today...
It has also been recently sighted in The Wellington, which after all is the Neepsend Brew Co Tap....

I had a pint in Beer Engine after the Bristol game. I quite like that place.

The barmaid was particularly attractive, and most attentive.

Mark Supperberg here with the boozy big data.

:D

First saw these in Queenstown, New Zealand, a few weeks ago. It is magnetised, and with the pressure of the liquid from above, makes it very difficult (especially when full), but not impossible, to jab it up from below. The beer was fizzy keg stuff, and don't expect it to be much different over here, considering where they're going to be installing these.
I’ve been magnetised a few times myself! Doesn’t take many these days though.

That’s the system they use at the new White Hart Lane.

If it’s the weight of the beer that keeps the seal, presumably you could jab a finger up from underneath on somebody else’s pint and let the beer out.

Not sure why you’d want to, but in an era where jumping through a bus shelter roof is normalised behaviour.....
I had a girlfriend once who had the same, rather alarming, characteristics :p

These things have been around for years.

First saw one in Amsterdam in 2013.

I frequent London a fair amount and I had never seen them until the videos of the new Spurs stadium popped up.

Since learned Liverpool have had this since 2015 and no doubt others.

We’re very sheltered up ‘ere lol
