United away in the Premier League

This season in the Prem is once again highlighting how badly the club has been run.
We’re seeing the massive contrast between modern teams in modern stadiums with emphasis on providing value to the consumer.
At BDTBL even basic stuff like the food and drink on offer is appalling. You’d think that would be a quick fix with a moderate investment in facilities and sourcing a quality provider.
But it’s always been that way so better get used to it.
In fact if you want an authentic 1970’s experience the Lane is the place to go.
Maybe us Blades wouldn’t want it any other way….
You wouldn't get the clientele at bdtbl to pay the modern quality provider prices that you are talking about. We are Northern, we are in Sheffield, not some swanky London club.

The prices are bad enough for the dross they serve up now.

Why would the club needlessly pay out more to a top provider to sell prawn sandwiches at the lane? Seems kinda pointless and vice versa why would a top quality provider want to come in and sell x y z at a premium when they wouldn't get much custom?

I think the concourse and facilities is the last on the list when it comes to talking how badly run we are and how we fuck it up everytime we are promoted and what needs investing in.

We are and always have been run by skint muppets.

How much is Manchester United wage bill?

According to The Times, Manchester United's wage bill last season was set at 432.5 million euros. They are followed by Liverpool (412.1m euros) and Manchester City (398.7m euros). For their part, Tottenham Hotspur invested 235.3m euros in wages, followed by city rivals Arsenal with 232m euros.2 Mar 2023

If anyone knows someone prepared to 'invest' (loose) a couple of hundred million per season on the team wages, please post their contact details below.
We're not competing with them though, other clubs find players that they get on good but reasonable wages, turn them into superstars and then sell them to one of the big six for a fortune, buy three more players on good but reasonable wages and flog them to the big six.
The trick is to get more right than wrong and this is where the team management and scouting have to be 1) Very good, and 2) On the same page as to what we're looking for and how each player we sign compliments the team and the style of play.

You get the feeling United would sign anybody if it was cheap enough, just to get "bodies" in, and absolutely zero thought is put into whether we actually need the player, hence the reason why we have seven left backs

I’m not sure the club would pay anything for a top Food and beverage provider, in fact the club would receive increased concession revenue.
They’re probably not receiving a lot at the moment because as you point out it’s overpriced dross, added to the fact the facilities are so cramped and service so slow and inefficient that only a small percentage of the attendance bothers to purchase anything.
It’s a massive missed revenue generating opportunity.

Why the fuck does anyone eat or drink the ludicrously overpriced shite and piss provided in any football stadium? You're only in there 2 hours for fucks sake. If you want a pint, there are loads of pubs serving better ale at much lower prices around most grounds. Similarly with cafes and chippies.........

Since we were relegated under Bassett in 1994 our goalscoring record in the Premier League has been atrocious. This is our fourth season in the Premier League since then and we have played 67 away games. Of those we have failed to score in 32 of them, scored one goal in 31 of those away games and only in four games have we scored two. We've not scored above two.
To compare, Bournemouth have scored two or more in all their last four away games, equaling our record in 67!
Surely we need to be a bit more adventurous (I'll forgive today because it's Man City)?
The super four where we scored two away are:
2019: 2-2 at Chelsea
2019: 2-0 at Everton
2019: 2-1 at Norwich
2021: 2-1 at Man Utd.
Another interesting/depressing fact. In a grand total of 109 away gamed in the PL we've only twice scored more than 2 goals. 3-1 win at Coventry in March 93 and 3-3 draw at Southampton Oct 93.

And we scored two at Everton whilst only having one shot on target

Style, creativity, skill, vision, fitness and athleticism would change those statistics, but the powers that be have decided we don't need any of that shit
And that game is the only game that we won by 2 clear goals 🤣

We must be the worst PL team ever 🤣

I'll take credit for us scoring two goals after I raised the issue in this thread.
