The U23s begin their home league season tonight, Monday 19 August 7pm v Watford at our new ground share home in Chesterfield.
We'll be heading over there later to stake out which pub will become our regular hole. Live Tweeting team news & insightful insights

Questions below will include
Is it free for Season Ticket holders?
Will Ravel Morrison be playing?

Do we think this will be a similar line up to the one at Hallam the other week?

Errrrm...Is this free for season ticket holders?

I'll likely have a 2 and a bit year old in tow, will get her to crayon up a beer review for you... Likely limit my tweets though :)

The U23s have played one league game this season, away at Cardiff. That was definitely a Development XI. Very definitely not a Reserves & Shop Window XI. I wouldn't expect the side to be "like at Hallam".

I feel we're in a bit of an Under 23 Limbo Land. Not least because the Carrier Bag Firm have yet to settle on a new pub at our new U23 home. We've had a go natch. One "quite interesting" trialist on the bench & stayed there. I've got a great report on the back of his head. One of the most miserable Blogs I've ever written. Which you can read here...

What is Jake Wright's role at the club now? I went to see us at Matlock and I'd forgotten he was still at the club. Virtually no chance of getting anywhere near the first team, surely he can't be content to just get the occasional run out with the U23's? Maybe I'm naive but I can't imagine he's just happy to see out his Premier League inflated contract. Anyone know if he's maybe doing his badges while he's with us and waiting for a player/coach/managerial post to come up? I think there was an interview with Knilly a while ago where he said that Jake was the one in the dressing room that they all thought would make a good manager. I was saying last season when Chessy were struggling and Allen got sacked that Jake could have been a good shout for them in a player/manager role.
