Great report from Danny04:

Agreed and very un-Star like.

I wonder of Danny04 had a pint of what Steve Mackan usually drinks?

"After years on the plush green pitches of Manchester City's Etihad Campus, a 45-minute cameo at Stocksbridge Park Steels' Bracken Moor will have been an eye opener for Kean Bryan.
High on the summit of one of the Steel City's highest hills,

Still only 31, Binnion is thought to be highly-rated at United and as a former Blades academy prospect himself, seems ideally placed to guide this latest crop of hopefuls. It certainly seems that these players respond to him and it raises half a smile everytime he can be heard bellowing praise or grumbles at 'Benno'. 'Docks' [the impressive skipper Jordan Docherty] or Greavesy but calls Jordan Hallam, wait for it... Jordey Hallam. Each and every time. It's a refreshing change in the age of every footballer seemingly having a 'y' stuck on the end of their name, but Hallamy doesn't sound quite right anyway.

n more than one way, Hallam himself is a bit of a throwback like that. Possibly the oldest-looking 19-year-old in English professional football, he plays with, in the right way, the freedom of a child and in a sort-of-Mark-Duffy role, in the most un-Mark-Duffy-way possible. Dropping almost anywhere to get on the ball, it was tempting to ponder at one stage yesterday whether he'd end up taking goal kicks and with his old-school haircut, black boots and shirt billowing in the wind as the Stocksbridge chill began to set in, he looked a proper player."

Excellent report Danny04, including the bits on yer actual football.

Ball_Sup (Phil) has given Jake Bennett MOM in a couple of previous games. Any nominations for yesterday? Danny04 ??
I couldn't make my mind up yesterday. It was sort of a different pairs combining well performance. Using a somewhat different criteria, Oli Greaves was the player who made me think - oh hello he's lively & having a go - he can have my MoM

I think Ball_Sup (Phil) has it spot on, no stand outs as such but Greaves very lively. I also really like Hallam (Jordey Hallam, to use Trav parlance). The kid just never stops running and I stand by him being the oldest-looking 19-year-old I’ve ever seen

I have a Mantra about Hallam. I think he'll have a career in English League Football, just not with Utd. He has an extra string to his bow which will make him an asset. Dead Ball Specialist. All the corners. All the free kicks. Puts it where it needs to be put. Crosses whipped in. Or back of the net if it's in range.

Greaves seems to have recovered well since his bad injury. He scored a lot of goals pre-injury and from my limited view on the highlights looked Brooksesque!
