The Under 23s are at home v Hull City at Stocksbridge on Monday 1 October at 2pm. The official site suggests Kean Bryan might play.
A win will put us Top. Although, there are other games later today which could Balls it Up for us.
We're on our way now. Team, goal & general capers updates on my Twitter

Stay Tuned .....

Kean Bryan playing which is good news.

I hope Oure makes it to the top and we can all sing his name........

Coutts NOT playing is interesting ?
I think we can safely presume his rehab is officially over and he's good to go :)

We just need to get 3 up with half an hour to go in the next couple of games so his comeback can be made complete :)

Erm... Phil, might I just ask...being a a bit thick... whats a “carrier bag firm”?
Otherwise really enjoy your posts and blog. Ta.

Lewis Ritson is the Hull captain. Current British Lightweight boxing champion & one hell of a puncher. He will be a world champion next year.

How did Hallam get on today?
Hi Baw Heid
Today was one of those good, competent, team performances. Hallam was a key part of that. You know I'm a fan of his. So, in that context, he was a bit quiet. Oure & Greaves were really up top. So, Hallam had a more withdrawn role - in a midfield with Doherty, York & Sheppeard. Although they were VERY fluid. Binnion's pointing finger will be worn out tonight. So, Hallam wasn't stand out - but, in the mix in a good (but ultimately fruitless) team performance.

Hi Mate. The Carrier Bag Firm are a fully inclusive Firm. We don't recognise the idea of people being a bit thick. So, it's a perfectly valid question. I will say, the best explanation I've ever read (ie written) of the Carrier Bag Firm is in the excellent Steve Mackan Dem Blades Annual. Try & buy a copy if you can. You won't be disappointed. Carrier Bag Firm is a self-pisstaking phrase. A bit like saying "I'm a Trainspotter" or "I'm an Anorak". You must have seen them. Scuttling about to get their precious programmes & teamsheets. The Collectors. They've got to have what they've got to have. If it's not already nailed down, they'll have it. And, as soon as they have it - bosh, into the Carrier Bag it goes. That is not my World. But, it's a World I live in. I don't collect owt myself - except memories..... (FFS)

But, if you try to get to the obscure friendlies & youth games - like I do - you meet these wretches. I've seen corner flags nicked before the game kicks off in the absence of other "souvenirs". I've seen opposition coaching staff asked for the trainers off their feet because they have a "club logo" on them. I've seen seats unscrewed, taken to the airport, put through security scanners, put in the hold of the plane & "imported" to England from Utd games overseas. I've seen the despair on the face of the Club Pencil Collector who had a Hartlepools Utd Pencil, the paint wore off & it was actually a Kylie Minogue Pencil that had been repainted. I've seen Stuff......

But, I'm happy to answer. We are trying to Grow The Brand. Merchandise is not out of the question. We're considering commissioning our own Bags designed by GallonofMagnet

Mate, I hope that helps - it's a pathetic in joke piss take.
