Classic Liverpool, they are likely to earn in excess of £200m from the Champions League alone this season, they have messed up and let the likes of Sala run down their contracts and now are messing with a young players career. He is not playing for them and they won't loan him out. How is that good for his development?

They'll probably loan him out for a fee and 100% wages covered towards the end of the window when they realise nobody's going to pay big money for him in January.

I went to Darlington for the first time this year and different gravy.

Been to Middlesbrough on business a few times. What a dump, worse than Sunderland.

Worked in Redcar (they call it Redca), which is just outside Middlesboro, about 15 years back.

It's a bit of a seaside place (beach and amusement arcade) but makes Blackpool look posh.
My main memory of the place is almost every shop has the work "pound" or "99p" in it.
So there's loads of Poundland, pound stretcher, home bargains, 99p shop. Also loads of book keepers/ gambling places
There most upmarket shop is probably Greggs

and regards the locals, nearly everyone wears tracksuits and trainers, plenty of young girls wearing track suits pushing babies in prams.

Stayed in a bed and breakfast in Saltburn, down the coast and that was actually a nice place.
Also stayed at Yarm and that also a really nice place (quite upmarket), so there are some decent places outside Middlesboro.

Definitely recommend Yarm. I was also working in Middlesbrough a few years ago and stayed in Yarm. i suppose that is why Middlesb was renamed.

Yarm, sounds like something you’d wat to put a poultice on.

Went to Darlo year last September - oh dear , oh dear , oh dear ...
I used to visit darlo to audit. When I heard the students at teeside uni got the train there for nights out as it’s better than Middlesbrough I decided never to visit Middlesbrough

Back to Tyler Morton then, a very good player and the right type of player to replace Arblaster.

However, if BBD is coming back to play wide left that forces Hamer inside.

Wilder loves O'Hare in that 10 role, so I can only imagine his plan is to push Souza back into the double pivot with Souza.

That would provide options of:
6. Souza (Peck)
8. Hamer (Davies).

It wouldn't be a bad idea to have another player in there, but is it a priority?
And would we loan someone of Morton's stature without guaranteed game time? Moreover, would he want to come under those conditions?

Can't we just, you know, ask Liverpool?
Liverpool have said they want sell not loan and thankfully that seems to be ringing a very large Brewster shaped bell for us and we’re wisely ducking out.

We could wait and chase a loan all month whilst Liverpool play silly buggers in the complete knowledge that even if late on we are given the nod that he’s available on loan once no one comes in to buy him Liverpool could change their mind and then demand a fee once we’ve got no other options or anywhere else to go.

Once bitten twice shy with Liverpool and rightly so.
