I remember going into the ground and overhearing a ManU supporter say to his lad that "there'll be more of our
supporters here than theirs". The result must have given them a nasty shock.

Brian Deane, kop end, 5th minute, could be another 20 years before we beat Man Ure at BDTBL in premiership

I presume that was supposed to say 200? It could be 20 years before we PLAY them again.

Wait... I was twelve? TWELVE?!?!

That season, our record against the "big four" of Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal was P8 W4 D2 L2.

Are we really in the Third Division now?

While it's good to see, I won't hark back, it only confirms the widely held belief in the world that football in this country started in 1992. Good to see us competing against the best, when there was a much greater chance to do that.... before the introduction of the Premier League.

Deane absolutely destroyed them! I'd like to see that Penalty shout from another angle, mind.

My first game was the last day of that season, consequently I've never seen us beat Manchester United.

Of that lot, only Man utd finshed in the top four, so not really suprising that our record was good.

Of the actual top 4 finishers that season it was P8 W1 L7

Yeah, but it looks good to say we won 4 against that lot :-)

We actually only won 3 out of 20 against the top 10 - Spurs, Liverpool and Man Utd, all at home.
