80 years since top flight title*

80 years ago today Sheffield United won the Football League North title.

Although not officially recognized as a league title as the Football League didn’t return until the 1946/1947 season due to World War Two thought it was worth mentioning…

2nd picture was taken in Berlin from a match between Sheffield United XI and a Combined Forces XI a few weeks after the Burnley win.
