I missed that match due to being taken on holiday.
Probably an Alsatian bitch on heat. It's The Viking - Gary Sprake. Something has got Billy aroused!
17 year old Cahill was there just before I joined the RAF. Last match before joining was Derby away ( I think)
Best kit ever![]()
I went to the Everton away game and as an 8 year old kid watching THAT team I thought it was always going to be like this - Unfotunately it hasn't been but I wouldn't change a thing - well ..... maybe a couple of things!!unquestionable comment

Was at the top of the kop as usual.......and yes top of the league. It was a Tuesday night after we had done Southampton at home the previous Saturday.
Following that was a 1 nil away at Everton on the Saturday, followed by Arsenal away on the following Tuesday which we also did 1 nil. P4, W4. In those 4 games we had beaten the Champions from the previous 3 season in Leeds, Everton and Arsenal.
We went on to have a record of P10, W8, D2, L0 and then we met Georgie Boy at Old Trafford and he scored the goal that is still to this day repeated on the TV when there are any "clips" of Best shown. It's a game that apparently had a 55K lockout at 2pm with an estimated 20K still outside.
For our fans that were not fortunate to see those games, THAT United team was just outstanding. TC topped the lot and to see that picture of R&W shirts, black shorts and white socks brings back so many great football memories at Bramall Lane.
Great days to be a Blade

Given Leeds' cheating, it was probably from Sprake swinging on the bar every time a shot was heading his way - makes the target smaller. There’s a reight dip in that cross bar
My last match before joining the RN was the SUFC 2 - 2 Leicester, 'we gotta win this by 9 -0 or else we're relegated'/'fan runs on pitch and decks player' in May 79.
What. a. night.
Yup. Never mind Ken Naughton, "Chopper" Harris, Norman Hunter, Billy Bremner, Dennis Wise, Graeme Souness et al, Johnny Giles was the daddy of `em all.As good a footballer as Giles was, John Harris had no time for him, describing him as a "dirty little player". Strong language from gentleman John.
Agreed , but every fan in the country would have loved to have in in their team ( along with Reaney , Madeley , Charlton, Giles , Clarke ......... )
I hated them as much as anybody ( and Don Revie even more so ) but had to accept they were one hell of a side .
Leeds were an entire team of dirty, cheating cunts.
